Big Sky Predictions - Week 2 (yes, TWO, Eastern fans)
EWU 27-45 UDub — Will Washington's actual starting QB expose the Eagle defense?
Woregon 24-49 Portland St. — PSU's athletic dept. is in a bit of sudden disarray, but that won't affect this game
Cal Poly 14-27 SoDak St. — 'Stangs catch a break with Sumner out, but last week's loss doesn't inspire confidence
Ft. Lewis 10-34 Davis — Should Aggie fans be concerned Gabe Manzanares is off the depth chart again?
Sac State 21-45 Cal — Cal's passing game looks too strong for a Hornet upset
Idaho St. 14-49 Utah St. — The Aggies looked bad Sunday, but not bad enough to give the Bungles any hope
Suutah 21-42 SELU — Not enough T-Bird threats to keep up with the Lions
NoDak St. 38-3 Weber— The Wildcats receive their reward for their performance the last two seasons
NAU 35-27 Abilene Christian— Hard to know what to expect here, but NAU should be better than Georgia State
CDub 7-38 Montana — CWU was statistically similar last year to a lot of MEAC teams, if anyone cares
Black Hills St. 13-63 Montana St. — The Yellow Jackets gave up 43 ppg last season despite not playing a DI
NoCo 10-48 UNLV — Bobby Hauck moves to 6-0 against the Bears
Robert Morris 17-31 NoDak — The Colonials should've lost to EKU a lot worse than they did
Woregon 24-49 Portland St. — PSU's athletic dept. is in a bit of sudden disarray, but that won't affect this game

Maybe this was intended for Governor Robert Morris, but aren't they the Colonials?Mvemjsunpx wrote: Robert Morris 17-31 NoDak — The Governors should've lost to EKU a lot worse than they did

CDub isn't a top-25 team or anything. Just a good, but not at all great, DII team.EWURanger wrote:

Then again, there are rumors Jordan Johnson won't play this week…

Re: Big Sky Predictions - Week 2 (yes, TWO, Eastern fans)
12-1 so far on the season. Only missed the Cal Poly game last week.
CP at South Dakota State---Mustangs look to rebound after loss at FBS New Mexico State, a game they were favored going in. This one will be a bit tougher, facing a Missouri Valley power and not a Sun Belt has-been...South Dakota State 38, CP 16.
EWU at Washington---Eagles look to stay unbeaten on the season and gain a big upset in the process. They are not afraid of the Pac-12, beating Oregon State last season. After a perplexing performance at Hawaii last week, Washington may need a good win here to silence the fans. A win but is it good?...Washington 35, EWU 31.
ISU at Utah State---Bengals continue their march through the state of Utah and the FBS playing at Utah State (the game with Weber comes later). They may be able to tell us who's better but really does it matter?...Utah State 38, ISU 7.
Central Washington at UM---A close loss at FBS Wyoming last week for the Grizzlies and they now bring in a DII for their home opener. Really, is there any chance for an upset here? Grizzlies get the win...UM 42, Central Washington 17.
Black Hills State at MSU---Bobcats took in on the chin last weekend at Sun Belt power Arkansas State. Now they play at home against the DII Black Hills State. Should be relatively easy...MSU 35, Black Hills State 14.
Robert Morris at UND---North Dakota showed little life last week at San Jose State, can they generate some life at home against the Northeast's own Robert Morris. The No-Names may have their best shot here, but...Robert Morris 21, UND 17.
NAU at Abilene Christian---The Lumberjacks put up a game effort last week at San Diego State. Now they go on the road and play at Abilene Christian, an FCS newcomer who had a strong effort against FBS Georgia State last week. But that was Georgia State...NAU 31, Abilene Christian 30.
UNC at Nevada-Las Vegas---Everyone else started the season last weekend except for the Bears who start their season this week. Playing UNLV could be a good way to start, if the Bears had some of their previous teams...Nevada-Las Vegas 42, UNC 13.
Western Oregon at PSU---A tale of two halves made up the Vikings game last week at Oregon State. They should not have any problems with DII Western Oregon, if they play like they did in the first half...PSU 42, Western Oregon 10.
SAC at California---The ease that the Hornets "welcomed" FCS newcomer Incarnate Word last week was somewhat surprising. Their reward is they get to play the Pac-12 this week at California. Hornets may think they have a chance, but...California 35, SAC 29.
SUU at Southeastern Louisiana---The Thunderbirds are coming off their ho-hum effort at Nevada last week and now go out to the Southland power Southeastern Louisiana. Can they stay close with the opponent?...Southeastern Louisiana 38, SUU 24.
Fort Lewis at UCD---Last week, Stanford made the Aggies look pretty pathetic. Chances are the Aggies are not the only team they will make look bad. The Aggies have a chance to bounce back, playing DII Fort Lewis...UCD 20, Fort Lewis 10.
North Dakota State at WSU---The Wildcats went into Arizona State last week and got pummeled. They won't have to go very far this week as they play defending national champion North Dakota State at home. Same pummeling...North Dakota State 38, WSU 14.
CP at South Dakota State---Mustangs look to rebound after loss at FBS New Mexico State, a game they were favored going in. This one will be a bit tougher, facing a Missouri Valley power and not a Sun Belt has-been...South Dakota State 38, CP 16.

According to the all-knowing alphie, it was going to be a nail biter even with Johnson playing. I guess we're truly fucked now.

We actually needed a last-second FG to beat them in '08, but they aren't anywhere near the team they were that season.SDHornet wrote:Yeah I know nothing of these D2/NAIA teams other than I assume they are going to be a win...Grizalltheway wrote:![]()

Re: Big Sky Predictions - Week 2 (yes, TWO, Eastern fans)
It was over early for us. Hornet D was helpless against Cal and Cal cashed in on an early sack fumble. Safron did have a monster run for a TD and the Hornet offense was able to move the ball a little. Safron under threw a sure TD that was picked off; otherwise we could have had another TD. Cal had their starters in for almost 3 quarters. I had a great time on the trip. The booster buses were a blast.

Oh, I see. Perhaps he should change this name to "AlphaBison". That might avoid confusion. Seriously.uofmman1122 wrote:He just doesn't like Montana period anymore.EWURanger wrote: Noticed that. Does he only like Montana when they're a good team, and jump ship when they're not?
