Re: Who Wins the Big Sky (2015)
Picked the bobcats to win conference. None the less, they will lose again to the Grizzlies. Though MT State does have the easiest schedule of any of the conference contenders.
Also they'll continue to have a prolific offense (until the QB gets banged up again as the season progresses). The only wild card is how much their defense can improve. They have to be better this year. Yet they were so bad, if MSU's 2015 defense was twice as good as 2014's they'd still be somewhat suspect. Further, there is no reason to suspect they'd improve that much. So while I've picked the kittens to win the auto bid, they could easily blow it and wreck this perfectly good preseason prediction.

I don't think that the QB getting hurt will be an issue (or I hope to god it isn't). We have 5 games that could go either way with EWU, NAU, and ISU on the road... CP and UM are at home. We get CP early so that should help. As a Bobcat fan for the last 38 years, I never get to hyped before mid October. I do think we have the Best QB in the conference (maybe in all of FCS by end of year) a great O-line, and RB's that can both catch and run from the back field. There really are no weaknesses on that side of the ball. On D, I really do believe we will be much better. Carter from UAB is a step up, and from talking to some of the D players on the team, they are all hungry to prove that last year was a fluke.Grizzlies1982 wrote:Picked the bobcats to win conference. And then you gotta come back to earth in early November every year? Oh...I still get pumped for the season, and can't sit still between games. But I don't get "Hyped" about a season until at least half way through. I feel VERY confident that that Cats can pull it together this year and make it past the Quarter finals AT LEAST.AZGrizFan wrote:And then you gotta come back to earth in early November every year? Well, obviously JJ would have been our first choice that season.Vidav wrote:McKinney.Grizalltheway wrote:

Depth on Offense (our backups are better than our starters and VERY "scary good")
QB (We all know Prukop is "scary good", and Bleskin had a REALLY off game against UM, but is almost "scary good")
RB (4-5 of them that are "scary good")
WR (about 7-8 deep, with both sure hands guys, and "scary good")
O-line (could be "scariest good" in big sky, only real non depth issues)
TE (Senior leadership, and a "scary good" from Miami)
