Missed PAT.
Still, can't help but be happy with how we're playing overall as a team right now.
EWU up 50-17, with 3:02 left in the game.

Good effort tonight. Now the bye week and a chance to get healthy.

50-17 final. Do IT.
Re: #8 EWU @ PSU
Finally, the game we've been waiting for. The two TO's on the kick-offs are unacceptable, but other than that really solid performance.
*Note* No picks for Mitchell.

Good game EWU. Jones looked awesome, but Mitchell is looking really good now. I thought someone said he overthrows receivers, especially if they are open. Mitchell looked incredible tonight.
I don't know what happened to us. It looked like we abandoned our offense when Kavanaugh went out. If Burton took away the Happy Viking for lack of effort, maybe the next game, he'll take away our shoes.

Thanks Jalmond, good luck to PSU the rest of the way.
Everything else aside, I think I was most impressed with how our defense came out early and took the PSU offense out of their running game and forced them to pass all day long, which is probably not what they are most comfortable with.

Thanks Jalmond. He's getting better it appears, but he still makes some befuddling decisions and throws. Like the one in the endzone after the Kavanaugh fumble. That should've been picked. Definitely a solid performance from him tonight though. One thing that I think helped him was the play calling... which was amazing tonight. Mixed it up and involved the TEs more keeping PSU's D off balance and letting our guys get a little more open. That bomber by our backup Nick Gauthier to our freshman TE was a pleasant surprise.JALMOND wrote:Good game EWU. Jones looked awesome, but Mitchell is looking really good now. PSU is on the right track, but I think you know that. Burton will have a winning program soon enough.
