The NDSU play off bid is reported to be 1.2 million.

Feeling is that NDSU gets a home game and probably a bye if they win today.

This is the biggest game in ten years for NDSU. First "Game of the Century". It may live up to the billing. A classic match-up between a prolific offense and a good defense. Kind of a boxer slugger matchup.

Bison hold after a 12 play MSU opening drive. Nice drive, good mix of plays. Very good running backs.

The BISON bring out Brock Jensen and the Herd have a first down.

Good question but just remember you are playing against our anemic offense so don't go to overboard about your defense. NDSU is not a playoff team (offensively) which is really unfortunate as our defense deserves it but our offense is offensive

Not looking good. Great game by the Bears. The situation is desperate for NDSU.

Western will make way more noise in any playoffs than NDSU and as much as I'd like to see us in why? So we can watch another week of a horrible offense? Bohl better get his resume ready cuz one more year of crap football and he should be gone.

Congratulations to the Bears and MSU. The three best teams we faced - WIU, MSU and UNI - all beat us. I think we are 4th in the league this year: WIU first then MSU and UNI followed by NDSU.

Sorry JBB but it would have to be in this order.
1. UNI
2. WIU
all the rest. This MSU team is not a good team. They have at best a suspect offense and even more suspect defense and yet we couldn't muster anything against them. Laydown the koolaid JBB because this NDSU team's all defense and a showup when you want offense with a horrible Offensive coordinator and even worse head coach.

This year the MO Valley is definetly down (way down) ane all we can do is come up 4th? What does that say about NDSU football under Bohl?

Looks more like a six-way tie for third after today's games.

One more thing I"ll give Mohler credit for coming back injured but that's it. When he came back in I knew the game was done. We'd of had a better chance with Perez in as the third stringer. Mohler shouldn't ever see the starting position as NDSU QB again EVER. The kid doesn't have what it takes to win and anyone who says different either hasn't seen the Bison play with him at QB or is just flat out an idiot.

JBB wrote:NDSU has still not announced the starting QB. Its a quiet QB controversy but its there. The BISON have been successful with Jose Mohler at the helm but Jensen is healthy. Jensen relieved Mohler earlier in the season when he was injured, did a decent job but got hurt himself. So Mohler has his starting job back, but Brock Jensen is right there ready to play. We will see tom. when The BISON offense takes the field.

When does that part happen?

You will rarely see a football game as good as the game played in Springfield today. It was an immensely confusing game, in the end defying prognostication. The Bears are a very good football team. Well coached. They obviously had a successful week of practice. They deployed an imaginative and well thought out game plan. MSU had the better effort today, but the score shows the margin of victory is razors edge. If MSU had the necessary credentials they should get the playoff spot. Unfortunately they don't. With things as they are in the FCS right now NDSU is probably in. Certainly they are a better choice than Montana.

Spin all you want dumbfuck you had 120 yards of offense

Pathetic for "the biggest game in program history"

Is also doubt your bid would be 1.2 millions for one game

You may be right on all counts Clenz, but Im strongly doubting your point about pathetic. It was a football game. It unfolds and the forces of offense and defense clash. Strategies dictated the early going, tactics changed, it was hard hitting. The Bears game plan had an answer for everything the BISON tried. That game plan that Allen and Company developed was an incredible intellectual achievement. They were able to stop one of the most capable offenses in the FCS today.

I am told "that game plan" has been fully digitized and entered into the NDSU Football Conglomerate memory banks. A hard copy will be placed in the print library as early as tomorrow forenoon.

The NDSU defense did all it could today in what will go down in history as one of the stellar and most courageous afternoons in BISION LORE.

I have nothing but respect for the BEARS. Unfortunately they don't have the credentials to go to the playoffs. The NDSU BISON do. The wins are there, including the magical FBS victory over a Big 12 historical powerhouse. There is no 7-4 team in the country more deserving than NDSU.

NDSU 120 yards
MSU 334 yards

NDSU YPC 1.6
MSU YPC 4.6

NDSU Pass Yards per attempt 3.3
MSU 4.2

Its a matter of record Clenz. Its the way the game unfolded. It is one of the lowest pts/yds efforts this season. Remarkable if you ask me.

The NDSU offense was steamrolled by a tremendous defensive effort by the Bears. They played what some students from another school said was the perfect game.

If NDSU gets a playoff bid, and they certainly deserve one if the popular consensus means anything, they should get a home game. The FBS win is huge and the defense is very good. The offense is of course going to take it back to the drawing boards and start with the fundamentals. I think there are some technique questions that can be answered and some other execution type things that can get cleaned up with a good week of practice.

The BISON are playoff ready.

Is what why NDSU lost to every playoff eligible team they played this year?

Every team NDSU played was playoff eligible except MSU, SDSU and SIU. Im also not saying NDSU is the best team. I do think they are very capable of beating the best team but certainly aren't considered the best of the best. They are a top 20 team. As such they should get a play off spot.

It wont sell out the Fabulous Fargo Dome like a win over MSU and a home game would have but it will be close. A 19th ranked BISON team has won the national championship in the past.

NDSU has no offense and probably isn't a play-off caliber team. I have a hard time seeing why the committee should select them. :twocents:
