Bullshit. What is this "physical play" bullshit? You act like NDSU was the only team we played this year that was "physical". Montana, Nova, and UD were all equally as physical teams as NDSU was, and a couple of those teams were probably more physical. I just don't get this about you guys. It's like you think that unless you play in the barren tundra of North Dakota you can't be tough or something. There was no "physical play" that caught up with him. His foot got trapped during a tackle and got bent a weird way. It was just unlucky, plain and simple.
TJ had several dominating performances throughout the year. NDSU wasn't the first. Having him go down like combined with crappy weather which will always favor a ground and pound team like NDSU were the best things that could have happened for the Bison........4 second half turn-overs gifted and still couldn't get it done. That to me tells me all I need to know about that game.
You could see the difference in team speed in the first half, and I know it's just my opinion, but had that game been played in favorable field conditions, or even within the "FFD" it would not have been close, or certainly not as close as it was.
Hopefully we'll get another shot (or should I say the Bison will get another shot?) next year and be able to put all this BS behind us. Of course, even if EWU happened to win again we'd still probably hear all the bs excuses.
