UNI did win a conference title in their first year of I-AA football with 5-6 record, so they have at least 16 titles in 30 years, maybe more.

So, since UNI joined the D1 ranks (30 seasons) UNI has won 18 conference titles....or for those that like stats, UNI has won their conference 60% of the time. I would bet Montana, and maybe ASU or GSU, are the only other schools that could come close to that type of conference dominance.
The longest UNI has ever gone without a conference title was 4 seasons (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000), but recovered well by winning 6 of the next 10 conference titles.
Oh, the even more staggering stat, is that in those 18 championship seasons, UNI has 14 conference loses.....or .77 losses per season.
