New filter/adding system I'm trying doesn't highlight incorrect picks. I can hilight them by hand if there is an overwhelming demand for me too...let me know.

The sheet has changed some.

The AQ, AL, and title picks are now moved to under week 12's area and separated out into each having it's own area.

I've highlighted eliminated teams in red, teams that have clinched the AQ in green and those who picked an AQ as an AL in yellow. The sheet is going to get mighty colorful real fast.


Red = 0 points...pick did not make playoff field
Yellow = 1 point...Pick made playoff field but not as picked (i.e. Picked to be AQ but was AL...or picked as AL but was AQ)
Green = 3 points...Pick made playoff field and was picked in correct spot (i.e. Picked to be AQ and wa AQ...or picked as AL and was AL)

Also...remember that the playoffs will have a different scoring system. It will be weighted due to fewer rounds to get full points. The scoring system is as follows (copied right from post 1 of this thread)

Post season game picks will have a weighted scoring system due to fewer games being played. Each round will have a different weight.

PLAYOFF FORMAT AND SCORING:
Everyone picks a winner for each game, and a point-spread.
Being that this is the playoffs and there are fewer games each week, and even fewer the week after, etc., each game will be worth more points. Each round will be worth 16 points.
First Round: 4pts/game
Second Round: 2pts/game
Quarterfinals: 4pts/game
Semifinals: 8pts/game
Finals: 16pts
***Due to 30 (number of points available during each regular season week) not diving equally by the number of games in each round 16 was the number that was chosen when this format was first used...may have to change when playoffs expand to 24

However, since there are much fewer games to choose from and each pick is a 50/50 shot, players will also pick a point spread that your pick will win by. If you correctly pick the winner of a game and you're within 10 points of the actual point spread, you get bonus points. You cannot get bonus points if you we're within 10 points of the actual point spread but picked the losing team. The bonus points will be determined as follows:

Within 0-2 points of actual spread = +5 bonus points
Within 3-4 points of actual spread = +4 bonus points
Within 5-6 points of actual spread = +3 bonus points
Within 7-8 points of actual spread = +2 bonus points
Within 9-10 points of actual spread = +1 bonus points
Within 11 or more points of actual spread = +0 bonus points

So for example, if person A picks Team 1 by 10, and Person B picks Team 2 by 6 and the outcome was Team 1 42 - 38, person A would get (10-4=6) +3 bonus points (in addition to the 2 points for correctly picking the winner) and person B would get 0 points.

This format would give people in the middle of the ranks to jump to the front if they were dead on with their picks, and help decide a winner at the end should two people be tied and making the same picks. But, it will be hard to pick point spreads with too much accuracy due to the craziness and uncertainty that results when two teams that usually never play each other meet.

This means that with how the AQ/AL scoring goes and with weighting of playoff scores really anything could happen. The first year doing this I watched a guy fall from 1st place all season by double digits all season long to 8th by the end of the playoffs...

Apparently my form either really screwed up...which is more or less a billion percent improbable...or teams submitted preseason all of a sudden give a sense of remorse as I've had a couple people PM me, or call it straight out on the thread on AGS...


Whatever the reason is I am taking the possibility of points away from this contest. The preseason picks for runner up and national champion are null and void and mean nothing....they will be deleted from the sheet by the end of the weekend.

Basically a couple people on AGS didn't pay much attention to their preseason picks and half way through the season (and more so now) are noticing they didn't pay attention with who they were putting in those spots....One had 2 teams in the title game that he didn't have in the playoffs and is blaming me that i didn't have a set up in my system to "catch his error"...and there has been bitching about it since about week 4....Now a couple people are seeing who they have and are pulling the same shit...even though I have the original form submissions.


So I'm saying fuck it and costing everyone points hoping they get on their cases about being a little bitch.

Different way to submit so read carefully.

Due to the new point system for the playoffs to make pick type team name exactly as it appears in the game description, followed by "by predicted margin"...EX: Game 1 - Team A vs. Team B. You're pick should be Team A by 4.


Due to only 4 games this round but 8 next there are extra slots to fill in...just type asdf in that cell...it will be thrown out.
