Nothing wrong with saying the Griz D was great, especially since NDSU's offense is designed to do what it did. I can easily say that NDSU's offense had more firepower in its scheme than Montana could handle, but the D stood tall in the red zone.
I am an NDSU fan and I would have wanted to take 25 and Montana too, we have a good team but it is really a ground and pound running team that wins by defense. No one here expected to win by much and many were afraid we would lose. I cant believe that NDSU was favored by more than 10-14 pts. Montana has a hell of a defense and had just played Wyoming so there would be no surprise on the game plan.
Your boys played one hell of a game, tougher than Iowa State and you guys played at our home. Toughest game we have played in over a year!

Time for NDSU to man up and go FBS. Big fish in little pond isnt a good look for very long.
Motor City Bowl doesn't look like a great goal to start a season with. NDSU may be good now, but eventually there will be bad seasons, I've seen them bad years. It's easier getting to the top than staying on top. Hopefully the new staff and new AD will keep FCS football as a focus.

Last year was 55-17. While I think we've regressed (offensively), and UND may have even gotten a bit better, I don't see a 45 point swing.
Which is it? Did UM regress more or UND get that much better?

Well, it wasn't a 45 point swing, it was a 35 point swing. Really, it's not that difficult to calculate.
