Will add more pics of the basement once the sectional couch comes in next month (had to custom order a blue one) and when I decide on what bar stools I want.
The bar is huge and has a dishwasher (it's old but works and you can see it to the left of the BL can), as well as a freezer/refrigerator with ice maker (also old and can be seen to the right), and a sink. I also installed a microwave (seen on the left). It had one of those instant hot water dispensers but I ripped it out. The thing that really sucks is the bar/counter top. It's formica with a wood plank design. Looks like shit but I have too many other things to deal with first. Hanging that TV in front of that giant mirror was a chore. Had to rip out a florescent light fixture and wire in a couple of outlets for the TV and new LED lights.

The way he's decorating this place, it's almost like he's mentally checked out of the east coast and is resigned to living in the geographic center of the country for the rest of his life. That must really suck.

When the underground is better than your immediate surroundings, you know you live in a shitty place.

I need to meet more of you dudes in person. So far I have only imbibed with D, Col Hogan, and I've met Ibanez.

Kind of surprised I havent met 89Hen yet given the club connection.

I think I need to meet Capn soon before he winds up cold and pale in some San Fran bathhouse sauna

Email I got from T-man's son:

I appreciate the words. He didn't want anything for him to be a sob fest so we're waiting until October 17th to hold the memorial/celebration of life for him. He's being cremated and will be there so everyone will be able to have the chance to say goodbye. The memorial will be at my home, which was his childhood home, in Sacramento. If you would like the address just let me know. Seeing as it's a ways out I would like to have as many people here as possible and am hoping some of the CS brethren could make it. He always loved the back and fourth on the page. Thank you again for the kind words.

As far as I can tell he tied young; which I would not want to do. But in another sense he died as I hope to die. He didn't wither away in a nursing home or spend years of being disabled living a life that is not a life. He didn't lose his mind to dementia. He just kind of felt bad, laid down, and died. Sounds like he may have died in his sleep.

We all have to die. To me it's the situations involving long, slow degradations that are worst. I saw my father go through that. Now my mother is doing it. Sounds like he did not have to endure that.

Met TMan years ago when he came over for dinner. As expected, he impressed my mother and wife with his demeanor and substance. Was a great sounding board for me over the years.

Thank you Jim, may God bless you.

It's not. And the reason I know that is that I know it's not long for any of us.

But I would prefer that it happens without a long, slow degradation.

This really sucks. TMan was always good for an argument and we had quite a few, but he was a sincere and great guy. He was in G-ville with Citdog (picking up the tab I'm sure....) in 2008 and called me wanting to come down. I was in the middle of some personal shit myself and didn't make it.....that's one trip I'll regret not taking for the rest of my life....farewell, my brother Tman.... :notworthy:
