The CAA, now with Towson making the title game, has had something like 6 different teams in the past 10 years or so make the title game. And much more than half of them got there by playing on the road to boot. I agree, at the end of the day, most of the power conferences eventually get the same result when it comes to raw national titles, you just don't see the success spread across the conference like the CAA has done.

If the teams coming out of the CAA routinely lost in the first round or two (*cough* OVC *cough* Montana *cough*) then you could call it mediocrity. But when those teams repeatedly work their way through the playoffs, and again, predominantly on the road, and make it as far as they do, if that's mediocrity then it doesn't speak well of the rest of FCS outside of the CAA.

We're 2-1 and if you throw in Weber's loss to W&M and MSU's win against UNH, that's CAA 6-5 within recent memory. That's seems awfully comparable.

A majority of the games were at BSC schools. If my memory is correct it was 6 @ BSC, 3 @ neutral, 2 @ CAA.
