Bad. They will have to show the field on ESPN and that will result in them also showing the small stadium half full. NOT good for EWU and NOT good for I-AA.

The stadium will be packed and it will be overflowing whether it gets any live coverage or not. It has been that way for a very long time when they play Montana and it will be that way again this time.

Fine, the world will get to see an overflowing 8600 seat stadium.

Don't you have other threads to make gayer by posting in them?

Well what the fuck do you want them to do about that? It's the set up they have and it's gonna be as good as it can be at this point. I don't get what your logic is.
When you see it come on TV make sure you don't watch.

Sorry. I got my info from the NCAA attendance stats...
74. Eastern Washington 5,366avg = 62.39% capacity
And nobody is disputing that the average is what is represented there. The fact of the matter is that this is the anomoly game in the mix that skews the stats up. There hasn't been less than 10K at an EWU/MT game (Cheney/Spokane) in the last 20 yrs. that I can remember and when they had to move it to Joe Albi to accomomdate the need there was over 15K I believe.
You're hunting for an argument but not using anything that resembles reality here hen. Just sayin'...
What I think 89 is getting at is I'm assuming the game footage will be coming from the press box. EWU stadium will for all intents and purposes be represented by the visitor side. Which is NOT good press for EWU or I-AA.
Towson has the same problem, which was somewhat remedied last year by moving the student section to the other side, so it wouldn't look like an empty stadium on TV.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."
I dont think Eastern is gonna blow a million dollars on a RED field without having a trick up there sleeve. Not to mention, they are REALLY pushing to get the video board installed b4 the EWU-UM game. MARK MY WORDS, (bc i know more about fcs than all u griz fvcks, put together) THERE WILL BE A NEW SINGLE GAME & SEASON ATTENDANCE RECORD AT WOODWARD/ROOS FIELD IN 2010.

Wrong. Standard games that aren't on TV and only aired by BigSkyTV are shot from the Press Box. The EWU~Montana game will likely be picked up by one of the ESPN channels, which means they'll have a crew there shooting it, which means the cameramen will be turf-level and roaming.
So again, 89Douche brings nothing poignant to this thread, just douchery.

All they really need to do is put a couple scissor towers up on the visitor side and only give out that footage. Because the home side of the stadium is pretty impressive.
Hey BF and SE, why did you put that big section in the endzone and not replace the visitor side?

To be fair, you guys don't probably watch the games on TV or the internet a whole lot. They do have those shots but they have just as many or more that show the better side of the stadium and that is where they normally have the crowd shots. It's gonna look a lot better than a Richmond or Nova playoff game on TV and there ain't a lot we can do about it except watch it and add to the stats I guess cuz it is what it is no matter what the concerns may be.
EWU would be well served to set up something like WSU has for getting great home side crowd shots though.

I wasn't aware I was in charge. Fuck me I must've been blacked out. Let me get on that.

Numbnuts, who the fuck is arguing against your proclamation on this point there Nostradumbass?
Holy fuck, you're making the same point I have been.
To be even more fair...
Towson has been on TV one hell of a lot more than their record indicates they should be. And when it is on TV, there is a TV camera on the 50 on the home side and one in the closed end of the endzone. And a couple on the field and a truck. But like the Nova playoff game, the bulk of the coverage comes from camera 1 and 2 on the 50...meh...I give up...again.

You're having quite a hard time wrangling that your characterization is not what will happen but I can't help you further with it. It is what it is and it will not be what you say it is in your statement but you wanna stick with it and keep pissin' in the wind then so be it.

You know what was really embarrassing, hen? The nationally televised semifinal game between Nova and W&M, at which there were approximately 500 fans. And I think 250 of them were actually cardboard cutouts aimed at making the place look more full.

Absolutely. That sucked just as much and we gave them just as much grief. What was your point?

As I said...don't watch, it'll be fine.
Fine. When I made my statement, it was about EWU in general. Not the UM/EWU game. I did forget that the opening game was UM. My bad.

Any other game would be pretty sad indeed. I hope they get some interest generated locally but I don't think a gimmick is gonna cut it either. Hope I'm wrong on that.
