NDSU beat a big 12 team, und lost to NAIA sioux falls.
Nice try, you people are truly stupid
Sioux Falls is/was a pretty good football team and probably could beat a few other FCS schools. When compared to a 3-9 Kansas squad I dont see much difference but go ahead, trumpet your victory over the "mighty" Jayhawks

I guess we'll never know, since the Beefalo are apparently now too skeerd to play the Flickertails. 10-3 since 1993....
Oh, and one more thing: I have NEVER seen someone place SO much importance on beating a 3-9 team.
You'd think it was **** TEXAS that you beat.
I assume this is just your opinion? NDSU didn't end the football series, und basically refused to play us as we transitioned to DI...just an fyi to keep things current NDSU wanted to keep playing.

Are you saying you don't see much of a difference between the KANSAS Jayhawks and the Sioux Falls whatever they are? Come on. I'm not trumpeting the win against Kansas, certainly wasn't expecting it, but really?

kidding and hyperbole aside - UND ended the games actually. NDSU was willing to make them a D-II game every year - and in reality NDSU wanted very much for the four dakota schools to move up together... UND wouldn't go...
North Dakota State University Bison 2011 and 2012 National Champions
Point of fact: the North Dakota-NDSU series ended as a direct result of NDSU's decision to begin competition in a division that North Dakota did not compete in. Since North Dakota moved up to the same division in 2008, they have offered and been declined multiple times by NDSU to resume the series.
Cue the "Roger Thomas Press Conference" and "Gene Taylor has made the offer" anecdotes...................

...........when UND decided not to begin competition in said division. Both schools made choices of where to play, UND made a choice not to continue playing after the choice of which division they decided to play in.

What? Is JBB aware of how narrowly you avoided this disaster?
Why is it so friggin' bad to honor a group of people by naming your teams after them?
I like the fact that UND has to use Fighting Sioux because of the new North Dakota law. What the NCAA is saying is break state law and change it. Great, the NCAA is saying to go against the LAW and listen to a corrupt institution called the NCAA. Awesome.

NDSU haven't been this crazy in a few years. Its hard to not read a long and laugh though. Got to say NDSU seems obsessed with UND and follow every move they make. I'll compare it to Texas Terror following Texas St around. Seems the recent record against UND speaks for itself.

Meh... I'll bite.
The ND Legislature was the one being corrupt and cowardly. It was a cheap political stunt - and it worked.
Just to be clear about something - unless you've been to ND you really cannot understand this... the nickname has nothing to do with "honoring" anything... the "honoring" schtick has come on in recent years as criticism over the name has grown... generally the attitude is "fuck the indians and their casinos" and local pols can score a lot of easy points with voters by proposing things that do just that. The nickname is just one aspect of it.

UND should have an easy time with Montana, per NDSU's recent success vs the Griz
2003 was the last time NDSU played UND or Montana.

It was against a BCS-Conference CHARTER MEMBER - that is good for at least 25 years.
You keep using those words. I do not think they mean what you think they mean....
