With a ludicrous and outrageous claim like that you will have to show me the reference to the NCAA rule. I stand by my claim the games would have counted as wins and advanced the bowl ambitions for the Charter BCS conference teams and MAC teams The NDSU BISON have defeated on the gridiron.

So rules now apply? Before rules shouldn't be allowed because you didn't think they should, but now they should and you want to see the NCAA rule???

You wouldn't be a lawyer, would you? You love talking in circles.

Dont be a fool. Rules always apply. The lower division games between the Big Sky teams and any FCS team for that matter do not count toward play off consideration. They are exhibition games. They should not be included in the official won loss records and properly notated as exhibition.

I dont even know what you are talking about. I do know you are threatened by the idea of accountability for the rampant lower division scheduling. Why is the idea of notating those games as exhibition and not counting them on the won loss record so threatening to you?

^^^ Or this one.

JFC, if I'm ever going to reach the CS Post-Offs, I'm going to have to stop engaging in these exhibition posts. It's not even fun giving little guys like that a thrashing anymore. :ohno:

JBB wrote:You do know that a hypothetical scenario is not real dont you? You are also aware any answer I may give is not relevant to the question at hand, which is:

Non counter lower division games should be notated as exhibition and not included in the won-loss record.

Now, If NDSU were to schedule a non counter, and the rules were as they should be, the lower division game should be properly notated exhibition and the results should not be included in the final won/loss record.

Its that simple. Im not sure what it is that you folks don't understand?

Your lower division games should be properly notated exhibition and the results kept off the official won/loss record.

Thats my point.
Oh no, the hypothetical is completely real for some. But if you want to continue into your fantasy land that play down games become labeled "exhibition games" than in my fantasy world, CWU joins the Big Sky and and the RMAC or whatever it's called becomes a partial schollie FCS conference. Otherwise, the realities of scheduling for the BSC is what it is and you failed to answer my question.

All DI and 4 home games or a DII and 5? If you've got the guts...

It is a must read. And by must, I mean get to reading right now. Simply amazing.

Advice...don't be drinking while reading unless you don't mind cleaning off computer.

Well, I just read through the thread and learned there's some US territory called "North Dakota." And apparently in this "North Dakota" there's a school called UND that has beaten 4 FBS teams and is the greatest thing ever to happen to division 1 football in the history of forever.

JBB I told you stick to shallow waters and get out of this thread about seven pages ago. I don't even know what to say about the last few pages...I mean at one point you say non-DI games don't count and then you talk about NDSU beating Montana being some great win...But really it shouldn't count using your logic but for some reason it does count.

Then you talk exhibition basketball games but forget that DI teams play non-DIs in hoops and the games count in a team's official record but that is about it. Just like the FCS.

In the grand scheme of things you are arguing about semantics, non-DI games already are basically exhibition games. I mean the committee doesn't count them, the final win-loss record means little in the FCS(all a team needs is at least seven DI wins) after that it is all about the playoffs and winning national championships.

I know you like to think NDSU has done some great things but we have two playoff wins...We are in a subdivision that is measured by playoff success we really have done nothing. We just have some shiny FBS wins, a decent playoff run and no national championships that count for anything at this level.

Yes, clearly their biggest loss was to NDSU and not any of the times when they finished as National Runner-Up.

That loss didn't count. It was an exhibition game. It was like the 'Cuse a couple of years ago losing their opener to the NAIA across the street. They still made the tournament. Didn't count. :thumb:

Actually that game WAS an exhibition....

However, UNI did play a D3 in basketball for a regular season game this past year that counted on our regular season record. Along with a D2 and a D3 for exhibition games.

I wonder if this thread will get another 120 posts today. Not sure the rest of us can take that much JBB on back to back days.

Nailed it down FB. This is what has been said over and over but it doesn't get through. Paricularly the point you made about NDSU beating Montana. You can't have a game count for one team and not the other. They have fixed it so it doesn't count for playoffs and that is good as it's gonna be or should be. I tried to say I agree with him on the sentiment but he has something in him that doesn't work. He wants to be right so badly on all points that he can't live with it until he gets some perceived "AH HA!" type of moment that never materializes.

That was a real good post to sum it all up and I've said before there are some good fans from NDSU that can have a reasonable conversation. Congrats. :thumb:

I hold out hope that some day JBB can join you at the D1 level and up his game but hell at this point the dude isn't even able to quote the post he's replying to so it's probably not gonna happen. He just isn't ready for the move up to being a D1 poster. His facilities are just too shitty. Hell he's got a jungle gym and monkey bars in the middle of his field and that's just the start.

Needless to say we all appreciate it when a good NDSU fan steps forward to mitigate JBB's damage.
