Yawn. Hope you enjoyed your moment in the sun. As Brent and Jesse so eloquently put it, big boy football is back in Missoula.kalm wrote:There was a time where the # of montana fans approached 40% of the total...it's true.clenz wrote: "I remember that one time our stadium was full....and was probably 60% the other team"
It was not during that game or any game since. (Much the same as their success on the field compared to ours)
In fact, the attitude of montana fans when they found Roos Field tickets harder to come by, resembled this classic painting by Gary Larson...
Just looked it up, less than 9,000. Wow. Our games against Western States Insurance bring in more people than that.kalm wrote:Capacity is full. That's all you need to know.Vidav wrote:

I don't think they played that conservative. Against an air campaign they played nickel and dime all game. They blitzed the LB to get pressure and they caused that fumble by Gustafson. Montana just had better athletes at WR then did NDSU at DB. People have said for years that NDSU just lines up and rams it at you and you have to stop them. Now, people know that Montana will throw the ball and you have to stop them, yet they still ran for over 100 yards. Lets have another case of Alaskan Amber and listen to the wisdom of Rosie O'Donnell....now that's a night.D1B wrote:So those receivers are the key? Ok.Grizalltheway wrote: Their defense did not have a poor game schematically, but the athleticism and size we have at WR led to a lot of big plays. The rest of the teams we face will have to deal with that same athleticism and size, and good luck with that.
See how that works?
They played very conservative on D, IMO.

He did not "play the 2nd half" on it. He played the 4th quarter on it. That play was their final offensive play of the 3rd quarter. A quarter in which they scored ZERO points and mustered just 61 yards of offense.Gil Dobie wrote:Hopefully the Bison get Wentz back for the MVC games.

The senior suffered a high ankle sprain in the 38-35 loss to the Grizzlies, although he played the second half on it. Head coach Chris Klieman said Wentz will be re-evaluated next Monday and he'll have a more clear picture then if Wentz will be available against Weber State (Utah) on Sept. 12.
I'm pretending to care about the wording that an Idaho grad is concerned about.AZGrizFan wrote:He did not "play the 2nd half" on it. He played the 4th quarter on it. As Z pointed out, that happened on the last play of the third quarter, a quarter in which they were less effective offensively than the fourth.clenz wrote:The picture of the injury...Pretty easy to see why Wentz wasn't real effective after that...
And I'm pretending to care about an NDSU fan making excuses for why his team lost.Gil Dobie wrote:I'm pretending to care about the wording that an Idaho grad is concerned about.AZGrizFan wrote:

Defense wins championships! Unless of course, it's this year's NDSU defense.Grizalltheway wrote:All I have left to say about this game is I hope JSO and BDK enjoyed watching a finesse, hurry up team beat a smash-mouth, 3 yards and a cloud of dust one.kalm wrote:
I'm totally getting ready. Getting ready for the unbareablness of Griz fans this season. We need an unbareable emoji.
Why would you try an make excuses for NDSU, no NDSU fans are making excuses, just reporting an injury.AZGrizFan wrote:And I'm pretending to care about an NDSU fan making excuses for why his team lost.Gil Dobie wrote:

Hell, I was pretty darn impressed by our D's second half performance. Tons of football to be played, obviously, but we may very well have the most complete team in the country.AZGrizFan wrote:Defense wins championships! Unless of course, it's this year's NDSU defense.Grizalltheway wrote:

You have to give kudo's to the Griz defense that was on the field for 35 minutes. Shows great conditioning.Grizalltheway wrote:Hell, I was pretty darn impressed by our D's second half performance. 35 minutes, defending 73 plays. NDSU, on the contrary, was on the field for just 25 minutes, but had to defend 92 plays.Gil Dobie wrote:You have to give kudo's to the Griz defense that was on the field for 35 minutes. Shows great conditioning.Grizalltheway wrote:
