Back in the summer I kept seeing a Tahoe at places (Chic-Fil-A and Zaxbys) in Conway with a Furman logo on the back glass. Come to find out it was Furman QB Dakota Derrick who is a Conway High grad but was passed on by the Chants.

I was posting more for the fact that the guy I kept seeing was the Furman QB, not really that it was a Furman sticker.

Saw a kid wearing a Griz sweatshirt at the school I work at. I asked him if he was a Griz fan and he gave me a puzzled look and said no, he just found it at a garage sale.

Sounds like a typical griz fan to me

A Subaru with Western Carolina license plate frames

a lady with a MSU Bobcats shirt on on Pearl Street in Boulder. Probably a tourist. I spit on her and told her I'd murder her and the other dirty whores in her family.

Overall pretty typical Friday.

Doing my weekly 200 mile commute to my workplace and was passed by a quad-cab Toyota Tundra with a big Texas State Baseball sticker in the back window.

Saw some WIU, SIU,UNI, and Illinois State gear at Six Flags in Chicago.

Saw a EWU car bracket in downtown Portland garage and a guy in a Montana t-shirt at John Wayne airport.

A more common sighting I'm sure but, at a Seattle Thunderbirds hockey game a couple weeks ago I saw a few Fighting Sioux Hockey jerseys.

Doing Christmas shopping I saw a W&M sweatshirt, quite a few EWU shirts, bumpers stickers, license plates.

At a Seahawks game saw some Griz sweatshirts - yelled out Go Griz!

While coaching I was wearing a Griz Shirt and on of the parents of my students came in wearing a MSU sweatshirt, and we gave eachother a bit of shit about it.

other than that, I've recently seen some cal poly gear, Ga So gear, some Ivy leage stuff.

Pretty cool to see country wide support for this level.

Sitting in a bar in Yuma, AZ tonight talking to some of the locals. Guy sitting next to me is the local dentist and hears me talking to the proprietor about getting the Griz basketball game on TV...he asks if I'm a Griz fan and I confirm that yes I AM...in fact I'm the #1 fan. He says "well, my hygenist is from Havre, MT and says HE is the #1 Griz fan and has Marc Mariani signed gear to prove it..." In fact his hygenist forced him to watch the last several Griz games (MSU, UCA, UNI) and now he admits he's a closet Griz fan, although born and raised in Oklahoma.

I spent the rest of the evening on the proprietor's ipad looking up vids of Griz Greats and showing them the Keith Thompson hit, Tru hits, Caleb McSurdy hits, the Mariani catch, Colt highlights, Kroy's NFL TD's, etc., etc....was a fun night!

I saw an older woman wearing a Montana State hoodie at a local grocery store. I mentioned to her that I don't see many Bobcat gear in this area. She replied that her daughter gave it to her and pointed to a younger woman pushing their shopping cart. The younger woman turned and saw my Griz hat and started saying "no, no no" while she literally sprinted down the aisle with the cart. I just wanted to say hey and have a little chit chat about why she chose MSU and did she like Bozeman and such. I certainly didn't expect the results I got.
