Good win UD
Nice ball control on the final drive. Another ugly defensive game, JMU offense looked anemic again... UD probably would have smoked us had Devlin been in the whole game.

With a concussion, he may have to sit next week. I'm glad it wasn't a wrist reinjury.ToTheLeft wrote:Good win, let's hope your QB can come back to 100% soon.

He played like a quality backup in a huge game on the road. And we better hope that he's a quick study for the next game, because at 5 wins they might shut down Devlin through the W&M game...93henfan wrote:OK, I'll say it. Sasek fucking sucks.

Wow man, what a great drive to finish a game. Pretty damn good defenses on both sides and Sasek got the keys to the car and didn't wreck it. That's all you can ask of the guy. Great win Delaware and I have to now consider them pretty seriously for the top slot in my poll so thanks for more thinking ya bastards.

He certainly did get the job done. He played much better in the fourth. Luckily he didn't fumble that shotgun snap he bobbled on the last drive or I would have been punching holes in walls.

With home games against two of the "easiest" opponents you'll face all season, I'd guess he'd be shut down for both games. Get him ready and healthy for Bill and Mary, let the backup manage the team for a couple weeks.93henfan wrote:With a concussion, he may have to sit next week. Hopefully it's not too serious and he'll be good for that game. Shame he had to go down how he did, crappy way to go.

Maine and Rhode Island can't be slept on. If Devlin is cleared medically, he plays.

Very big win for UD.. with Devlin out after just the 2d play of the game not many fans (me included) thought the Hens would be able to find a way to get a win. Sasek wasn't great.. but he was good enough and the UD defense really stepped up and tackled much better in the 2d half. JMU has an outstanding defense and for the Hens to be able to win this one with their QB and best offensive player out for basicaly the entire game is a great tribute to the coaching staff and players.
According to post game KC reports that Devlin is fine.. but was held out for precautionary reasons related to a possible concussion.

Delvin starts next two if he can, but they will shut him down early as possible. IMHO we just watched Sasak grow up a bunch from his 1st series to that last drive. He needs some work technically but his field presence change so much over the 3-3/4 quarters. Big win Hens!!!

Now that's growth on KC's part as a coach - doing what's right for Devlin in not risking further injury, even though it was the biggest game of the year (prior to the playoffs).ChickenMan wrote:...

And the bonus is now he's got a back-up who's brimming with confidence and a team that knows they can win with either QB...

I'm glad that my denigrating remark looks dumb now. So, 5-0 with four home games and two away remaining: Maine, URI, @W&M, TU, @UMass, NOVA.
I sure hope the team isn't looking ahead at the schedule like I am.

Great win for the hens. They are obviously for real.
What happened to Devlin? He got knocked out early or something?

I just got back from my daughters band performance and I gotta say - what a great win! To be able to gut out a win with a backup, frosh QB at the healm like this against a team the quality of JMU speaks volumes about this Hens team. To Sasek's credit, he apparently wasn't spectacular, but did enough to get the "W". Nice job.
What great defensive effort with the "O" holding it together just enough.

Poor Boise State. Their signature win over a team that lost to a lowly double A that now lost to another lowly double A. The horror!SunCoastBlueHen wrote:I just got back from my daughters band performance and I gotta say - what a great win! Hens have beaten #9, #5 and #3 at the time they played them. Not sure anyone else has a resume even close, especially with Nova going down.Ursus A. I think you called that right 93hen. Will make the transfers think too. But first lets nail down 6-093henfan wrote:I'm glad that my denigrating remark looks dumb now. Huge win for the Hens. Let's be serious, there was nary a Hens fan that thought we could win at JMU with Devlin missing the whole game.
Kudos to Sasek, kudos to the OL for winning the final battle or 6-plus minutes, kudos to the defense for adjusting at the half and them simply stoning the Dirty Dukes, and kudos to Perry for coming through in the clutch.
Good question is do you rather win like that or in a much easier fahion if Devlin goes 60 minutes??
Polls don't mean much this time of year but I look for a lot of #1 votes coming UD's way.
