It'll be interesting to see what Jones can do against PSU. He's an amazing talent. One thing he needs to learn how to do, though, is stop doing crazy **** like tossing the ball back to the QB when he's being tackled. I almost had a heart-attack when I watched that one.

Oh god, I almost forgot about that! Fuckin' A! I don't know what he was thinking... but I know what Nichols WASN'T thinking: 'Hey, let's pull a flea flicker on this play!'

Not true, according to Wiki:
Blue turf myths
There are many myths about the blue turf. Three of the most prevalent are:
There is an NCAA rule banning turf colors other than green, but BSU's field is allowed to remain blue under a grandfather clause. The NCAA has no such rule; any school may paint its field any color other than green if it wishes..
which is funny, because in watching a BSU game a few weeks ago, the announcers made the statement that no other teams were allowed to color their turn anything but green.

"The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam." Barack Obama, 9/25/12

Because it's not possible whatsoever that a couple of announcers are wrong about something, nor do they possess any bias.

Alright peter puffer...
* The NCAA has no such rule; any school may paint its field any color other than green if it wishes. Though painting the end zones is common, and schools have wide latitude in how to do so, until 2009 only BSU had chosen a non-green color for the field itself. NCAA Division II University of New Haven became the second NCAA institution to install and compete on blue turf for the 2009 season.[13]
Green fields are not required by the rules of football, just the rules of good taste.

To be honest, I would rather the turf be green, and alternate lighter/darker every 5 yards. But the main thing I would like to see.... is a huge logo in the middle..

I don't follow events in Washington enough to know, but I thought I read that money was really tight for all the universities- UW, WSU, EWU, etc. If that's the case where does EWU plan on getting the $1 M for FieldTurf?

I don't think anything is set in stone, but the idea is being tossed around and I'm sure the University is asking that same question. I would assume they would garner the funds through PR/Team Fundraising events, and soliciting donations from alumni *cough like MICHAEL ROOS cough*.
