Not to mention, Duke has a better conference record than Virginia Tech, Miami.... and the rest of the ACC minus Georgia tech, who was my preseason pick for ACC champ. Man, that ACC is the power house conference they keep telling us about.
Should probably have included everyone in the Big Sky minus Montana... seems like every year is going to be the year that they take down the mighty Griz.

YET, but you can be sure they will come out eventually. Homer, arrogant fans like theirs are a large reason I stay off the Zone, but if these little morsels are any indication, the worst will be Georgia State in a couple years:Col Hogan wrote:Yep...the one's who are delusional show the same level ofthat the bunch of San Diego and the massive # of NDSU fans showed in their era...ODU just doesn't have the numbers...
On UDel's coach and their's visions:
andFunny, as myself and millions of other college football fans don't know who the UD coach is but everyone in the deep South (where college football is a completely different animal) knows who GSU's coach is and we don't even have any of that prestige stuff.
just gold:The GSU coach? Do you mean Bill Curry? LOL Are you crazy?
I am pretty sure he knows EXACTLY what he is getting into:
1) He is an ATL native, a.k.a. he knows the South and everyone in the South knows him.
2) He won coach of the year in the SEC AND ACC
3) He has the GA Dome.
If anyone, the UD coach wouldn't know what he was getting into moving up a division... that guy is a freaking JOKE if you compare him to Bill Curry!
It's tough to explain to delaware fans in general that in the Southeast, the mecca of college football, more people have heard about Troy and Sunbelt than they have about delaware and the CAA. College football above the Mason-Dixon line always was, and always will be, second grade to the Southeast
Let's not forget that we have by far the best coaching staff in the CAA, perhaps in the FCS. Curry, Bond and Thompson would be a great coaching staff at an FBS school
Lastly, I will take Curry's experience and credentials over ANY current head coach in the CAA, and I will most certainly take our assistant coaches over any other in the CAA, especially some of the rookies whose greatest accomplishments are coaching QBs at VMI. The "mighty" CAA... please, save it for the birds.
On UDel Fr QB Sasek:GSU Haters, let's just put it this way. Georgia Southern, is arguably one of the 2 or 3 best programs in the history of 1AA. They retarted a 40 year old dormant program in 1982, won a National Championship 3 years later, and then proceeded to win another 5 over the next 20 years. They did it in little Statesboro, Georgia with about half of GSU's student body and a glorified high school stadium....We have better facilities that Ga So. We have better corporate resources for funding. We have the same recruitment base and we play in the Georgia Dome. in fact, we could possibly be the only FCS program in the country to turn a profit because of the potential of the Georgia Dome
What the hell is in the water in Atlanta? Why would he want to come to GSU where he would be warming the bench behind Drew Little, a Rivals 3-star Top 50 QB in the country and GA high school second leading passer in history, as opposed to going to Delaware where he would actually have a shot at earning the starting spot some day. That is, of course, if GSU was even recruiting the kid in the first place.

Seriously... Not to mention the plethora of other fine football institutes that surround GSU in the marvelous South East. Good luck recruiting/picking up the scraps.
p.s. I live down here and I don't know their coaches name
Another quote from a GSU student:
I'm actually a little irked that we're getting a football team in a couple of years, because I don't feel like paying for something I couldn't care less about, but that's life.
....
And to some extent our non-traditional character leads to a dearth of "school spirit." There are just as many people sporting Tech and UGA hats as ones with blue panthers on them.

BIll Curry isn't/shouldn't be known extremely well, but he is hardly a no-name. All-Pro Center in the NFL, Former college coach, TV analyst for ESPN...

I had to go with that NEC duo of Albany and CCSU. Those guys get a little chippy when the polls come out each week, and they have a pathological hatred of the Ivies.
