Lighten up, Francis. I was merely pointing out the flaw in your compadre's argument not making an argument for Villanova. :kisswink:

I would also go out on a limb and say Dom Randolf is a better QB than anyone in the Big Sky (Probably nation for pure QB and not an Armanti). Personal opinion only, though.

How about a 2 yard drive? A 3 yard drive? An 11 yard drive? A blocked punt for a TD? That's 24 of SDSU's 48 points with 16 yards of offense. And the 3 yard drive was the field goal, on a fumble recovered on the 20 yard line. SDSU had for scoring "drives" all afternoon. The real score of that game (from a defense's standpoint) was 35-28.

The Big Sky gave up an average of 41 points in their games last Saturday.

Compare that to the SoCon (14.5 ppg) and the CAA (13.5 ppg).

I don't consider my self a big sky homer though i am a big sky fan. Don't you know any thing about football out here????

thats how we roll out west dog! the wac, mtn west, pac10 n big sky have played this way for yrs!

its all about the high flying offense! we like our fball like our bball - a lot of points! lol for example my team beat portland state in 2007 73-68. the losing QB had 9 TD passes.

ever heard of Bill Walsh or the west coast offense? its not called the east coast offense. LOL
ever heard of mouse davis? he's never been east of the mississippi! same with Lavell Edwards from BYU.
Ever heard of scoring against Bill and Mary? Zero does not demonstrate high flying offense.

Defense? We play it....in our way. Here's a list of the last time each of the remaining teams gave up 50 points to an FCS opponent.
2008 SFA: 62 pts to Texas State, 50 pts to South Dakota State
2007 Richmond: 55 pts to App. State
2007 William & Mary: 63 pts to Villanova, 55 pts to James Madison
2005 Southern Illinois: 65 pts to Illinois State
2004 Villanova: 51 pts to New Hampshire
2004 App. State: 59 pts to Chattanooga, 54 pts to Georgia Southern
2002 New Hampshire: 52 pts to Hofstra
1999 Montana: 51 pts to Portland State in OT!

It's been a decade since the last time anyone scored 50+ on us!

10 votes behind him in 5th.
Just as Heisman winners have not always gone on to success at the next level...neither have Payton winners...

Most of the voting for those awards is a publicity/popularity event...not a true measure of success...

Dom is being looked at real closely for the next level...I wager he'll play on Sundays (are at least stand on the sidelines in the begining)...

And keep crapping on teams like Holy Cross because they come from the Patriot League...that is one program moving quickly in the right direction...like Albany...Stony Brook...and a few others... :twocents:

I believe that the Mouser was Fontes OC at Detroit in the 80's.
