Just ask Jim Kelly, the Michigan & OSU teams of '70-'80 that lost Rose Bowls to the PAC10 every year (except OSU '74) and '91-93 Nebraska. Regular season wins get you the opportunity. Greatness is defined by Championships.
Agreed.....and after next week we will have 3. 2 more than most. :thumb:

Whiny, not whiney. Second there was no "whiny" involved, just a statement of fact. Quick whining and win it rather playing the Atlanta Braves.
Oof! A typo in a post calling out a typo. Oh, the irony.

I notice you didn't deny the "bitches" part, however.

Here is the thing, no matter who you Montana guys play there is going to be complaining and moaning from people. Do you guys have some weak teams in your conference? The answer is yes as teams like Idaho State, Sac State, UNC and PSU help add to that reputation of a weak conference slate.

However most of those comments about weak schedules come from ignorant fans (note that they are all coming from everywhere except this site :twocents:) who fail to realize that their conferences also have some if not more then a few doormat teams. The CAA had/has Northeastern, Hofstra, Rhode Island, Towson. The SOCON has Western Carolina, The Citadel and Chattanooga, Ect...

The point is every conference has its teams that just repeatedly end up year after year as doormats or maybe once in a while get an average year. So you guys shouldnt take it to seriously as alot of these fans seem to forget that they may have had an easy way to the playoffs themselves.

Oh and just for the record...if you guys had come down to Cedar City instead of us going up there these oast few years we would have won both games by a 21pt spread :thumb:

I'm not sure how people can say our soft schedule doesn't prepare us for the playoffs. We're in the NC game for the second year in a row and 6th time this decade.

Just don't come up bridesmaids again this week.

Question - Hauck's a pretty young guy - if you guys pull it off, is he going to pull a London and go FBS? Any scuttlebutt from the eGriz nation?

Like AZ said, rumors float around every year at about this time. This year, UNLV has been mentioned quite a bit and in the past few days a San Jose St. rumor arose (saying that they were prepared to announce Hauck as their new coach as early as tomorrow, which I seriously doubt). The question is, why would he go to either of those programs? He'd be wise to heed the lessons learned by Dennehy (who went to Utah St.) and Glenn (Wyoming) who are both unemployed right now.

London is a very different situation. Virginia has won the in the past and he has a decent shot of putting together a good team there. UNLV and SJSU are just black holes where coaches go to never be heard from again  .

I can't really see any of those scenarios being a true promotion for him. He's got a good gig at UM, and it would take a pretty serious program for me to consider leaving. :twocents:
