Dang, you got me beat, with 11 of 14 Tribe games. I missed @URI, @NE and Game 1 @Nova (but I watched it on TV. Does that count?). Total Mileage about 6000 (not counting the flight to St Louis on the way to Carbondale)Tribe4SF wrote:Usual year for me. Made 13 of W&M's 14 games (missed only @URI). Also made the Campbell@ODU game.

As one who has parked his butt in your seats I can verify that they are, indeed, great seats. Not that there are any bad seats at Foreman...the place is awesome.Monarch Nation wrote:Only one, I'm afraid. Living 800 miles from campus puts a damper on things, especially when my weekends are usually packed.
I did make it to ODU at Jacksonville, which saw a number of firsts for the Monarchs. First road trip, first FCS opponent, and first come from behind victory. It was 113 degrees on the field that day, and if you know Jacksonville you sit right along the field on hot metal bleachers. My wife bought me a large snow cone and I quickly drank the juice, then took off my cap and poured the ice into it and put it back on. I had orange drips running down my head the rest of the afternoon.
I caught the rest of the season on computer. Maybe next season I can actually use my season seats. They are very good seats, or so I've been told.
You need to plan now to make the W&M@ODU game in September. That's history you won't want to miss.
Re: So, What Games Did You Make It To This Year?
Well since I live in Fargo, I was only able to make it to the 1st Round playoff game against South Dakota State over Thanksgiving. And thank God I did because I witnessed history.

6 UNI home games (vs. USD, StF, INS, SIU, YSU, WIU), plus road games at Iowa, NDSU, and SDSU (had been planning on attending the ILS game, glad I didn't).
Also attended all UNI home volleyball matches, plus Fri. and Sat. of the MVC tourney, and the Lincoln subregional of the NCAA tourney (UNI vs. Washington State, Nebraska vs. Coastal Carolina, UNI vs. Nebraska). And the UNI vs. Iowa WBB game.

10/10 Cal Poly
10/17 EWU
10/31 Weber State
11/14 Northern Colorado
Playoffs:
11/28 South Dakota State

Elon vs. Davidson
Elon @ Wake Forest
Elon vs. Georgia Southern
Elon @ Furman
Elon vs. Citadel
Elon vs. Chattanooga
Elon @ Wofford
Elon vs. App State
Elon @ Richmond
On the sidelines for all of these games, I only missed 3 games, due to the fact that none of my friends wanted to go and I don't have a car at school.

(I live in Ogden, Utah, where Weber State is located. Utah State is only 50 miles away, right next to the Idaho border.)
- saw 11 games -
W1: Sep5, Weber State @ Wyoming
W2: Sep12, Weber State @ Colorado State
W3: Sep19, Idaho State @ Weber State
W4: Sep26, Southern Utah @ Utah State
W5: Oct3, Montana State @ Weber State
W6: Oct10,
W7: Oct17, Sacramento State @ Weber State
W8: Oct24, Louisiana Tech @ Utah State
W9: Oct31, Weber State @ Montana
W10: Nov7,
W11: Nov14, Northern Arizona @ Weber State
W12: Nov20, #6 Boise State @ Utah State
W13: Nov21, Cal Poly @ Weber State
It was a way fun season. I saw a football game 5 weeks in a row to start the year and only had 2 weeks the entire season with no game. I ended the year watching games on back-to-back nights.

Re: So, What Games Did You Make It To This Year?
BirdGrad and I were able to make it to 7 of our 'birds 11 games this year. All 5 home games, with the UNI game being the most fun I've had at a football game in along time, and the SDSU game being the most messed up I've been at a football game in along time.
Made 2 roadtrips this year, season opener @EIU, about a 90 min trip for us, at @university of illinois fr our pay game, only a 45min trip for us.
We only missed @ SIU, Youngstown, NDSU, and Mo State

App St @ ECU
NCCU @ App St (Homecoming)
App St @ Elon
WCU @ App St
App St @ Richmond
First year after graduation. Went to every App St home game from 05-08 (playoffs included) as well as @ Elon in 05, @ NC State in 06, @ Gardner-Webb in 06, @ WCU in 06, @ JMU in 08, @ GaSo in 08, @ WCU in 08 and all three National Title games.
It's weird that I've never been to El Citadel, Wofford or Furman. They come up in years where I'm strapped for cash

Shamefully, I only attended one AppSt game (@ Furman) for the second year in a row....& one Montana game (in Chatty) for the 2nd year in a row...seems to be a trend....
