Well if that's what you're looking for they're sayign he should be unlimited this Saturday. If the Duquesne game would have amounted to more than a hill of beans he would've played.
Do you have anything to add besides your gem about the UR and SDSU attacks being similar? How are they similar?

I wouldn't be so quick to give UD's OL the advantage over UR's DL. While UD's OL has indeed improved, you're talking strength against strength. IMHO, this will be the decisive factor in the game, UD's OL against UR's def front 7.

Conversely, where UR is weakest is on their OL, but they will be going against UD's achilles heel, UD's DL.

The QB battle will be a good one to watch also.

The WR's are a push, along with the DB's.

UD may have a slight edge in the kicking game, whereas UR has a slight edge in the Return game.

Coaching?? Head Coach, KC over Scott, OC/DC advantage UR.

Home Field Advantage??? TBD.

Very good game to watch.
Just a couple thoughts, since you've created a few talking points here....

Yes, it's going to be a good game to watch. Very telling for the CAA's future this year. I agree on the key to the game. UD OL vs. UR DL. I'm still not sure if UD's OL is really the strength of our team, but they do seem improved so far. I think there's no question UR DL is their team strength. Strength vs. Strength? Not exactly, IMHO.

Couple head scratchers though:
Homefield advantage unquestionably goes to UR. I don't know how it could be seen otherwise.

Where on Earth do you pull the assistant coach comparison from?

I think it's unfair to say that UD's D-Line is their achilles heel. At this point, what makes them stand out as the achilles heel? If you're going to credit the O-Line for their improvement this year, then how can you discredit the D-Line against the same competition, when they haven't even allowed a TD yet? We're rotating 9 bodies, and 10 when Marcorelle plays rush end. Irv Titre is expected back either this week or against JMU which will give us 11 rotating regularly on the line.
Re: Homefield advantage; to some, this my equate to a "12th Man" concept. A homefield crowd so loud that it causes disruption to visiting teams. With UR giving visiting teams a 1k allotment of tickets, that leaves 7700 fans split on both sides of the field. Not exactly a intimate feel, especially with the track separating fans and players. To this end, I don't see much of a HFA.

Re: OC/DC Comparisons;
UR's DC, Trott has been on teams that have enjoyed a little more success over his 34 years than has UD's Ragone in his 31 years. Trott's resume carries a little more weight.
While UD's OC, Hofher, has been involved in college football much longer than UR's Lineburg, Lineburg is more familiar with UR, than Hofher is with UD.

Re: UD's OL/DL comparison, you might be right to reserve judgement based on who they've played to date. However, with the success of Pierce, you have to give kudos to the OL's efforts. As for the DL, they've been suspect all summer, and the injuries have not helped. All in UD land have undoubtedly exhaled at the end of each game where you've shutout or nearly shutout your opponent. But you all are sensible enough to realize your toughest games are ahead of you, and you hope your offense can outpoint your opponents in order for UD to have a successful season.

Good luck this Saturday to both sides.

Thanks for the clarification. I agree with your logic on the home field advantage. We'll see this weekend on that one, for sure.

RE: The assistant coaches. I think you're probably grasping at straws here, but you're entitled to your opinion. The argument about experience, etc really could be flipped on it's head just the opposite, but whatever. It'll come down to who has their team prepared better for the other. Latrell Scott's first game as a head coach in the CAA, versus a coach who has a tone of CAA experience, but has struggled of late.

RE: The defensive line. The issue all summer was their HEALTH. Nothing besides that made them suspect. It's actually looking like there is a ton of depth available. They weren't playing against anyone all summer, so I'm not sure who was making them seem suspect. If health was the issue, then fine. But it wasn't like someone was exposing them in July. :D

Bob Trott could checkmate KC Keeler in 4 moves with 3 pawns, a rook and a knight ... while Keeler played with a 5-star transfer QB, the best offensive line he's had in a half dozen seasons and the 2nd coming of Rashaan Salaam.

Do you think Keeler could spell 'genius'?

Well, he does go by KC...that, to me, is an indication of an inability to spell. Just sayin'. :D

I'm sorry, that's way too long to read. Are you upset that I missed the periods? I knew that his name was Kurt Charles, I'm just disappointed he won't go by K-Chaz.
