Wow, there must have been some impressive wins out on the East coast for the Griz to get leapfrogged by three teams this weak...I know, I know, UM pulled out a squeaker over a DII but if the Griz keep this up and again end up undefeated for the regular season they might just find themselves knocked out of the top 25 all together...dbackjon wrote:Week 5

To the previous two posters:
Montana's D is borderline for a top 5 team - very porous. And I have seen the D in person. But it is still early, and the first 8 or so are still basically a crapshoot at this point

Baased on performance so far I thought the Griz were a little high last week so this all looks pretty good to me. Good work dback but since you're looking for a fight I think your rankings suck and you can play a little game of skip and go fuck yourself.

I guess that means you ranked youself higher than both Ursus and me in your DBackJon Super 25 Ass Kicking Poll.dbackjon wrote:OK Ursus, BH - next challenge, I expect you both to be there so I can kick your asses.

There was a poster on AGS last year that posted the Bradley-Terry rankings each week. As I recall, the Badly-Terrible rankings completely ignored the strength of a teams opponent, and only gave credit for winning percentage. Last year both Grambling and Delaware St. were both ranked much higher than UD last year because they had better win loss records.

JSU Beat Eastern Illinois 23-10
"The Gamecock defense had one of its most dominating efforts against the run, allowing just 20 rushing yards, the smallest output by an opponent in the school's Division I history. JSU allowed just 226 total yards, and the 20 yards rushing was the fewest by an OVC opponent since Tennessee Tech rushed for 35 yards in 2007."
I think this may be the reason's he has JSU higher than EIU.

I'm sure you've never heard this one before but that's a good looking poll dback. I know it's not actually poll but "ranking" just didn't work in the double-entendre sense.

Re: DbackJon's Super 25
My gut feeling is that Richmond, Cal Poly, NAU (...really team ranks #8-18) are all on equal footing. I'm still in doubt about Tennessee-Martin...their early sched.'s soft, and the two solid teams the've played, they've lost. If they can take Jacksonville and keep their head above water in Auburn, then I'll change my mind.
The rest looks legit.
I'd say your poll this weekend looks mighty fine. Wait, no, I mean you've got a sweet looking poll. No,no...that's not what I meant... Oh, crap....

That is a fairly good list there dback. I think App and CP should be higher though.
I sure hope Ursus gets some time today to get his top 25 out. It should be interesting where he has moved some teams.
