I'm also afraid this program might have lost a-lot of momentum from that 2nd half Montana debacle. I just hope I'm wrong and they can get things back on the tracks or become a massive-over-hyped, under-achiever like NDSU.(that was for you and you only Lakes)
Go Jacks!!
I hope you're not mad, but I might have reminded them about the Montana game a few times last week.

I cant see the first one but the second one is just our tight end on him.
Blocking a defensive back who was lucky if he topped the scales at 175.
Never said it was super impressive, but for the record those lil guys are hard to lock up on when your over 250 and they come screaming in. But, as has been said, he should be kicking his ass just from the size point of view for sure. But the truth is our O-line has been doing very well this year for how many key guys we lost last year from it.
Please don't tell Obama what comes after a Trillion.
I'll weigh in...though I know I'll have this conversation all day at tailgating tomorrow.
1) Loss of fire on the Defensive side: Batten and Rogers were extremely vocal with high motors.
2) One returning starter on the Oline, three of the departing all got shots at NFL camps
3) SS Conrad Kjerstad career ending injury. Was an NFL prospect Safety
4) Every starting WR graduated which leads to...
5) Poor QB play
6) Penalties, just piss poor decision making on part of some of the younger players.
7) Scheduling in hindsight might have been a disaster this season. However, the game at Nebraska lives as one of my all time great game memories. It was electric.
Positives:
I will not write this season off, the team is making great strides.
Minett will end as the second greatest rusher in SDSU history, I believe, not sure he can take the title.
The oline has started to gel and Minett is getting rolling. But the coaches have called stupid pass plays(interceptions) at the 5 yard line. Line up and hand it to him. Ridiculous. He should have about 4 or 5 TD's
The Defense is finding it's identity, They probably will just find it against UND and NDSU, so we can at least win our State Championship games.
The key remains that O'Brien pulls it together and corrects his mechanics, staring down receivers, not planting his feet and throwing.
For the Hen fans I think the Hens are #1 right now. App State is getting the Montana boost in rank this year. They are playing a weak non-con (sans Florida at the end) in a watered down So-Con. Hens have been more impressive IMHO.
Yup.
All Appalachian was about was AE (and hype) in a no-talent SoCon. Delaware clearly has more experience, better skilled players and is tougher in the trenches.

Yep, that's exactly what I said . Nice reading and interpretation skills.
Look at the scheduled played by both teams to date. Who has the more impressive wins? If you had to chose the better team based on that who would you chose?
