Bold? The whole of FCS is down this year with the exception of about three teams.
An interesting thought in a year when we won more than the usual number of FBS matchups. :geek:

Looks as if the CAA could be down to only one team after next weekend. Out of 20 teams, only one will be left.

There can only be one.
The CAA could be down to one. The SoCon as well. All the talk about other conferences making inroads but in the end, the quarters only have representatives from the CAA, SoCon, MoValley and the Big Sky. That speaks volumes as to which are the power conferences in FCS.

After this week, either the CAA or the SoCon will have two remaining, and the MoValley or the Big Sky will be shut out.

Another thing I find interesting is the winners from the first round went 2-2 in the second round. Brings up the age old debate of is it better to have a week off or continue playing?

Also, and this may been mentioned already, only one AQ is left.

Did we? It didn't seem that way - what was the final count, and real FBS matchups, not just the Sun Belt ones.

WIU at least made it to Boone prior to getting knocked out. IF NDSU wins, and Nova wins, will NOVA be visiting Fargo?

Of course, App St won't loss  so won't be an issue.
I say Nova does visit Fargo if both Nova and Bison win, but those are big ifs. I do have a gut feeling that Nova wins, as far as the Bison go its all gonna come down to who wins the turnover battle. Unless EW can't play run D any better than the cats...if thats the case we would almost be a lock to win, but I hear Edub is pretty stout on the Dline, so we will have to be able to hit a few passes and create a few to's to get the W.

or once again two CAA teams in the semis
On December 12, 1775 the Continental Congress created a Battalion of minuteman from the three counties in Delaware. Kent county militia were fans and owners of Game Cocks; Fight'n Blue Hens as they were called. The Fight'n Blue Hens became known far and wide as the very best Fighting Game Cocks around. Thus, the Blue Hen was established.

"Mighty CAA down to one team"

So I guess the above title of this thread gets it totally wrong-it should say "Overrated SoCon Down to One Team." Apparently, AppSt was totally overrated. Good Job 'Nova, now take out your next opponent.

Might as well resurrect this thread the night of Jan 7 - that's when the CAA will go from 2 to 1 team. ;)

GSU/UD will be very interesting.. but I think Villanova will win pretty comfortably @ EWU.

Good for you, it only took you two weeks to finally be right about something.

Of course, until the CAA has no teams left you really don't have much to crow about. :coffee:
