Ya the big sky got screwed over... but i think so did JMU and Cal Poly.... i just dont undrestand, i guess... this is pretty shitty to let CP have to play Weber state then if they win play Montana! Either way if montana wins they play a team they have already played this year. DMB!!! im not into the whole they made it easy for app st deal... but if you look at it.. they have the easiest way to chatt. i think they should have cal poly in that bracket in my opinion.. AND JMU vs Woff. thats a bad matchup for JMU not that i think they will lose but wofford is not the last team in, in this bracket.

I understand the "regionalization" thing. I just wish there was a way for the committee to recognize excellence and not screw teams like Weber & Cal Poly. Once again, there'll be ONE team left standing after the quarters this year out of CP, Weber, & Montana. And once again, we'll have to hear another year of drivel from the ECB Mo-fo's about how all the teams out West suck---and there'll be a double dose of that drivel if the last team standing out of those three is Montana.

Here's an idea: If Maine has to fly to UNI, why not put them on a plane for another 2 hrs, and let them fly to Cal Poly. Weber was going to fly there anyways...let THEM fly to UNI instead (that's got to be about the same flight distance). How much MORE could THAT scenario possibly cost the NCAA?

If all four of those teams are within bussing distance of each other (along with about 4-5 OTHER playoff teams as well), the draw should be more favorable for the #1 team in the land.

That is an autobid that has been absolutely wasted in my opinion the last few years. Colgate is the only team that has done anything with that autobid in recent memory...and the teams from the Patriot League never last long anyway. That is an autobid that could be put to better use somewhere else or go away entirely and allow another at large bid.

Poly, Weber, and Montana in the same bracket? That is wrong, very wrong and smacks in the face of intent of seeding the playoffs. Good selection, poor distribution...but I feel for the other bracket because whoever comes out of that slugfest will be kicking some tail.

Fordham upset #4 Northeastern in 2002. Lehigh nearly knocked off JMU at the start of their title run in 2004 (lost by 1). Fordham came close to knocking off UMass last year. The Patriot League has met the qualifications for an auto-bid for some time now & got one after the SWAC gave theirs up in 1996. The weaker Big South and NEC are also getting auto-bids in 2010 when the field expands.

I don't have a problem with every qualifying conference getting an auto-bid (like the NCAA basketball tournament), and the Patriot League certainly qualifies. It makes things more interesting and also less repetitive & stagnant.

Our system is far better than the FBS, really not much to complain about just some minor tweaking to keep the big teams from knocking each other out right out of the gates. Seeding only the top four is ridiculous, seed them all and give home playoff advantage to the top four.

As for the Patriot League that is about the extent of their playoff "prowess" they've had a few bright moments that were mentioned above but have rarely gotten past the first round. With the Big South getting an autobid in 2010 that will just weaken the playoffs more if they don't improve their play. Autobid is a good concept, but there needs to be some ability to adjust the winner is a cupcake and you have some better teams left out because of the at large process. Expanding the field will that greatly though.

Seed them all...its a shame what will happen in the left bracket after this weekend and then next...

That's VERY debatable. Beating VMI on the road does not make a team playoff ready.
