Hey, lets be clear that GSU is State since 1969. Just because GaSo has tried to squat on the name since 1991 doesn't mean its their name. Never was and the Georgia Board of Regents doesn't think GaSo is GSU. So just quit with your attempt to be something other than the back-water alternative school in Statesboro that you are - Georgia Southern.
Ya know, Kennesaw is a bigger school than GaSo.

All GSU threads draw GS folks out of their hay bales like a homing beacon. It is a silly argument. How can you call yourself something you are not. Like I said before, I am going to start referring to myself as President George W Bush and see if the other guy gives up the name. My argument? Everyone who knows me calls me President George W Bush. On here at least and other boards it is confusing when someone sees GSU because they often:
-wonder is this Ga So or Ga St?
-or just assume its Ga So

3 letter acronym possibilities for Ga So: GSU, GSO
3 letter acronym possibilities for Ga St: GSU, GST

For Ga So I have only ever seen GSU. Have never seen GSO (I just made that one up).
For Ga St I have seen both GSU and GST.

So the SIMPLE, and OBVIOUS solution for message boards (and media for that matter):
GSU= Ga Southern
GST= GA State

and of course Grambling= Grambling.

Coach Curry reinstates Kelton Hill. News is that he was dropped of all charges and will only serve a one-game suspension plus serve additional team penalties. Now since he's reinstated GSU becomes a much MUCH better team and one team I actually fear a little bit.

The actual progression is

1) Fulton County DA cleared him of all charges.
2) Dean of Students re-admitted him to the University
3) Department of Athletics, per rule suspended him one game.
4) Curry is adding his own penalty and he just appeared on Barhart and Durham (790 am The Zone) and basically has said that Kelton will not appear in a game until he does what he has to i.e. he has penalties and plan to serve out before he is allowed back.
