I think the record is 18-25 in UNIs favor. Naturally, UNI like UND, had the advantage of playing NDSU pre 1965.

Since 1965 NDSU is 12-8 against the Panthers with a 7 game winning streak and a high score of 58-0. UNIs recent success is certainly a period of over-achievement for them and I would expect regression toward the mean and a winning streak coming up for NDSU.

Since the "Modern Era" of BISON football begain, generally accepted as '64 or 65' the NC year, NDSU has dominated every team on its schedule. The only teams that have a claim to "greatness" and every one of them is checking in directly and/or by bitch, has also played NDSU pre 1965. Those are the old rivals. The oldest and greatest rivals of NDSU that havent quit are SDSU, UNI and USD. Point is, since 1965, UNI has been a very capable team, winning against the NDSU BISON 40% of the time.

Congratulations on the move-up. I was one of the few BISON fans encouraging it in 1974. It was hard enough in 2003. Talk FBS and you see it again.

I would also add that many of NDSU's victories over the UNI football fellowship came during UNI's darkest years as a football program, and during the best years in the NDSU football clique

The Division 1 era of UNI football (the last 30+ years), is unquestionably the greatest era in the history of UNI football.

In the UNI/NDSU series, the bizon have had the advantage of basically not having to play UNI at all during this great era of UNI football. Despite that, UNI still led the all-time series between the two.
