From someone who has been to multiple game in Bozeman, they are way to redneck. Total turds.
Yes, I know this is an all inclusive, "I love you brother" board, but I have NEVER, EVER been treated well in Bozeman for a game.
I talk big **** on this board, but am really an easy going person. **** no. Bozeman is horrible for attending fans.
That's funny, I have been to 5-6 games in missile and have never been treated well. My son was even spit on at one of them. Every team has crappy fans, you seem to be one of them.
What field is that, guin? The zoom is too far away to read the end zones.
I'm shocked that someone actually put Liberty on their list.
(It really does look like a great stadium, and I'd love to visit it someday. I still wanna graduate there. But I thought you outsiders hated our stuff on principle alone. )

Why would Liberty's not be on the best FCS stadium list? I could name a whole shit ton that are worse for sure...

My question is...without hijacking this thread though it's bound to happen. How the f is JMU going to get the other side to that same scale with those buildings right behind the stands like that.
I know they will move the front row towards the field more, but those stands are going to have to be straight up and down and require a ladder to get to your seat with a 4 point harness holding you in
We are moving up the stands on that side, but the plan is to demolish Godwin (building right behind the smaller stands) and rebuild it, possibly in a new spot. There'll be enough room, but we won't be FCS when it happens.
I like the looks of MSU's stadium with the new addtion. I hate to say it, but I like the visual appeal better than Montana's. Montana really fucked up the look when they scaled back the last addition and didn't make span the entire sideline and connect with the NEZ.
I've never understood why colleges like to have stands in one end zone and a building in the other. Maybe I'm just used to the bowl shape, but that just seems weird to me.

Because the building on the other side is typically home to the weight room, locker rooms, offices, meeting rooms, training rooms, etc..
Personally, I'd put those underground, particularly the locker room. But I guess some people have other ideas.

This ^^^, and I would imagine some schools want the bowled in feel without having to fill the stadium with fans they don't have.

I received nothing but positive treatment in Bozeman when NAU beat MSU a few seasons ago. Even offered more beer/tailgate grub there than at the NAU-UM game the following year. I'd go back to a game in both Bozeman and Missoula in a heartbeat to be honest. Rivalries to the UM-MSU degree bring out a different vibe between fanbases.
Several nice stadiums listed and we are all biased... Maybe pictures don't do justice in several cases here, I know in the case of JMU, pictures just don't capture the height/size... Under the new deck is sweet. I know we will hear lopsided jabs for a while, well worht it! Once the east side of the stadium is complete, we are talking the real deal

When is the east side supposed to be complete and what will the capacity be?

It is home to BVB Dortmund, the reigning Bundesliga Champions and 1997 Champions League winner. It started in the 1920 as a 15,000 regional soccer stadium and was thrice increased in size. Interesting fact, when the Allies were indiscrimately bombing Germany in 1944 and 45, they carpet bombed the area around the stadium. An unexploded British bomb was found 5 feet UNDER THE PITCH a decade ago. They had to postpone a game while it was unearthed and removed.
The area at the end of this view is known as the Sudtribune, and is fenced off from the rest of the stadium. They offer 10 Euro tickets and it is freestadning--- no sitting allowed. It is the most popular place to catch a game for the 15,000 or so that can get tickets...
Great stadium, right up there with Allianz Arena.
Yeah, but Allianz was purpose-built. Dortmund's stadium was truly "built up" phase by phase over the years.

And I thought the Cougars selling tickets on Groupon was funny...nice job
