Re: Sac State @ Oregon State
Sounds like Sac State has a passing attack now. They are going to be dangerous if that is the case.
I believe this is the first win by the Big Sky over the Pac-10/12 since Montana beat Oregon State in 1996. Congrats Hornets.

Kinda surprising it ended up this way. OSU had all the momentum after Hilliard's fumble late in the third.

OSU has always been on the edge. I'd guess they relied too much on their much vaunted runner, James - who did just about nothing yesterday. Their defense, young and untried, is suspect this year. But Sac State played a great game - their experience shows.

Are you sure you aren't thinking of Oregon (LaMichael James)? Malcolm Agnew ran for 223 yards for the Beavers.frinq wrote:OSU has always been on the edge. Re: Sac State @ Oregon State
Jaquizz Rodgers' big brother James. Was granted an extra year of eligibility after severely injuring his knee against Arizona last year. Beavers use him primarily on their flanker sweep. I don't think he played against the Hornets. I know he was doubtful heading into the game. They wanted to keep him safe for Wisconsin next week.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Are you sure you aren't thinking of Oregon (LaMichael James)? If Rodgers did play, he didn't record a stat.

Congrats Sac... way to rep the Big Sky. As a conference, we were REALLY close to getting 3 upsets yesterday. Impressive showing.

The sad part was that many UNC fans saw it coming.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Congrats Sac... way to rep the Big Sky. As a conference, we were REALLY close to getting 3 upsets yesterday. Impressive showing.

Benching Orms for Lobato before the game made no sense.

From what read, Lobato didn't "get" the move, either. With as competitive as QBs can be, that's a sure sign that the coaches were reaching for something that wasn't there.Mvemjsunpx wrote:The sad part was that many UNC fans saw it coming.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Congrats Sac... way to rep the Big Sky. Re: Sac State @ Oregon State
Hell of a game. I wasn't near a comp all weekend until now but I was able to listen to much of the game via the "Iheartradio" app. All my yelling and screaming totally drove my wife nuts. Then the sweet joy of exhilaration when I heard the announcer scream "TD Hornets for 2" when Reed hauled in the game winner. I started bouncing off of the walls. I never thought we'd knock off a FBS program let alone a Pac-12 one. Just unbelievable euphoria.

Not gonna lie. That was some Offensive PI on that last throw.
Oh well, sucks to be them.
A call like that finally goes the way of an FCS team.
Sac St. has a great chance to make the playoffs now, even if they drop a few in conference.![#thumb :thumb:](./images/smilies/thumb.gif)
