Towson loses at least six of their final nine games.

Book it.

5-6, after last year, I'll take it. We're still rebuilding and very young, '12 and '13 are our breakout years.
5 wins is considerabley higher than you prediction just a few weeks ago though.

Wrong. Of the 20 games played so far by the 11 teams:
11 have been vs I-AA
8 have been vs I-A (ODU, TU, UMass haven't played one)
1 has been vs Div II
way to nitpick BDK. if he said half would you have responded the same, I think yes.
Take TU ODU and umASS out of the equation everyone played a 1A team. Considering umASS and TU play one in the future, it'll all equal out.
ODU should have a I-A team on their schedule and UD should be ashamed of playing a D.II.
That's not nitpicking when he said the majority of those games played so far have been vs a I-A when a majority of those games played so far haven't been against a I-A.

Don't forget, W&M plays a Div II also- New Haven this Sat (who ironically beat West Chester in OT in week 1).

If you take away the scorelines and just look at wins and losses, every single one of these results would have been expected two weeks ago.

Well, except Towson over Villanova of course.

The only REAL surprise I have is how badly Towson defeated 'Nova but it might have been expected since 'Nova was already going through a rebuilding year and then throw in some costly injuries and having to start some young, inexperienced players...thats the recipe for upset when you include Towson wanting to come into this year and prove everybody just how much improved they are.
Its one thing to do a pre-season prediction of a conference, which is 6-12 teams, with them all (or mostly) playing each other every year, and those doing the forecasting have a decent knowledge of all 6-12 teams. Another thing entirely to try for 120 teams who mostly don't play each other, and those doing the forecasting have only decent knowledge of a small fraction of the teams.
Sure thing there, bud. Either way you look at it, we're only 2 games into the season.

That would be interesting. Tribe would have 6 Div I victories - so as CAA co-champion they wouldn't meet usual criteria for playoff consideration.

Could have as many as 5 CAA teams in the playoffs. Probably almost as good a chance as just 2. UMass is ineligible for playoffs W&M & UD would be ineligible at 7-4 because of only 6 Div I wins. Me thinks will be 3-4.

Last time had only 2 was 05' (UR & UNH). last time only 3 was 06' (JMU, UNH, UMass).....

Yea, halftime & postgames at UD are taking a step back. First UMass makes their last trip to town next month, and they consistently have had the best band (non-biased view) in the CAA. The West Chester is gone after next year, they still have the best team entrance for a band with the Olympic fanfare. On the bright side you have the "Approaching Storm" (DelState) in town this week - that should make for some good music & better dancing.

BDKJMU correct - W&M, UD, and UMass could all go 7-4, share the conf title, and none make the playoffs.
Also, ChickenMan - You're predicting UNH to go, what, 6-5 and no playoffs this year?

I should have clarified. Have to have 7 Div I wins to get an At Large, not for the AQ. Lafayette got in about 4 years ago with the patriot AQ at 6-5.

Can't imagine the CAA AQ having only 6 Div I wins, but I guess its possible.

why? we're only a 3rd year program that has yet to play an official CAA game and establish ourselves in the conference and its not like ODU needs the money....

The 13-10 scoreline vs. New Haven was probably the biggest surprise I've seen all year, right up there with the scoreline for Sacramento State and Oregon State. Indiana State thumping WKU is a shock, too.
