I think you picked the Redbirds last week too, so hopefully we get the same results. Congrats on the win over SUU, they are a decent team.Darell1976 wrote:NDSU wins if it was in Fargo, but on the road I will go with SIU. 28-24.
Re: NDSU BISON* @ Southern Illinois University
THE CONCLUSION:
The Salukis are 1-1 In the MVFC with a 2-2 record overall. Its not an impressive won loss record. They struggled in their win against Missouri State and lost to Western Ill.
The BISON are undefeated. The wins include the Minnesota Gophers and a strong MVFC team the Illinois State Redbirds.
The BISON will have their hands full with the Saluki offense. Looking at all games they are a 400+ yard/game machine. The strong point is their running game. Its averaging over 200 yds/game.
This game is going to test the stingy NDSU rushing defense against the SIU rushing offense. NDSU is going to bring a physical game. SIU may get the yards but the BISON pts/yds allowed ratio (.04 vs .07 for SIU) is among the best in the nation.
Against MSU The Salukis eek out victory with 3 INTs. They give up over 300 yds passing to WIU in a loss. Against SEMO they do well. They do well against Ole Miss too, but have 4 INTs in a losing effort against probably the best team they have faced.
THE JUICE:
If you want the secret to this game look at the individual defensive stats. It will soon become clear that the SIU pass offense, which otherwise looks every bit as good as NDSU, is going to have a tough time of it. NDSU’s prevalence in these statistical categories when looking at individual effort is a little over whelming. NDSU probably has the most talented secondary in the league. +3 NDSU
Another thing favoring The BISON is their ability to score on the ground. 12 TDs so far this season. SIU is fairly stingy that way but the Ill RedBirds are the best in the league and NDSU scored 1 on them. Give them 2 here.
Give the Salukis the usual 2 pts for home field.
Give the BISON +2 for coaching. Lennon is 2-2 and struggling. Coach Bohl, a coach trained in the D1 ranks, not D2, is undefeated.
Give the BISON the QB position. Brock Jensen is now among the best in the league. +5
Sure SIU has Jewel Hampton. I think the BISON can key on him, but NDSU has two Jewel Hamptons in McNorton and Ojuri. +3
THE BACKGROUND:JBB wrote:NDSU almost covered a 21 pt spread last week. This one is +13 NDSU BISON. Chances are it gets worse for the Salukis instead of better but all indications are a great game with a decisive moment or two that will put it out of reach for Dale Lennon and his crew.

News out of Carbondale. New QB:
Paul McIntosh, who has started the previous four games, suffered a separated left shoulder in Saturday's 27-21 loss at Western Illinois.

Re: NDSU BISON* @ Southern Illinois University
Something we discussed in the off-season chats was of course the NDSU Roster. You may recall I predicted that NDSU players would begin to populate the leagues individual statistics leaders. This is now starting to emerge. Looking at the categories we see some outstanding efforts including QB (#1), running backs 2 of the best, WR. On defense we see a lot of D backs with outstanding statistics particularly in pass defense. The running defense is extremely physical and plays hard.
I'm expecting some big plays for the BISON. Something like last week.

Typical JBB bullshit.
Illinois State
Week One: Loses to 1-4 Eastern Illinois who is 0-3 in OVC play
Week Two: Beats non-scholly whose only D-I win is Valpo. They even lost to St Francis (PA)
Week Three: Lost to Youngstown State who is 2-2, their other win... Valpo
Week Four: Barely beats 1-4 SDSU who has been outscored 162- 58 during their 4 game losing streak. Their one win was on a failed 2 pt conversion.
Where's the strong team you speak of?
(I think I'm supposed to say "piss on you" or something as well.)

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the first two games you played...JBB wrote:Something we discussed in the off-season chats was of course the NDSU Roster. I didn't know NAIA had a message board. Have you been shedding your love for UND over there too. Boy you must have no life if you go to every division, every UND's opponents message boards, to show your hatred for UND. Thank God you are over UND.lakesbison wrote:darrel S T F U and goto the NAIA message board. tool

I'm confused I though JBB was a Northern Iowa fan and now I see he was a UND fan all along. That guy just cant make up his mind. For the amount of pure unadulterated sewage that comes from his mouth I figure he would fit right in with those NDSU folks.

The site is following rules that are in place, no one messed with his profile as no one can get into his profile without his password - which none of us have.lakesbison wrote:i dont care about JBB, but doing that to his user profile is pretty bush league

He'll just do what Opie never did....send papers to the owner of the site.AZGrizFan wrote:Why don't you leave then if it hurts your delicate sensibilities so much?lakesbison wrote:i dont care about JBB, but doing that to his user profile is pretty bush league
The difference is that the papers from Opie would have been some very bad legal warning.....lake's would be some very bad illegal warning.
Re: NDSU BISON* @ Southern Illinois University
NDSU 27 SIU 24 too close for comfort but I just think they come out flat after 3 home games and 1 road game.
but for now back to JBB's avatar
I could have thought of something better but that works

That is the measure of these guys!
What happens to people when their team is losing and they are used to being on top. They of course get jelous, and if they are from Montana they think small, very small.
