We had 23 point within 6 minutes of the first quarter.

"Yes, well, Towson actually."

Re: Colonial Athletic Association Picks for Week #11
No URI @ JMU game thread, so I'll post this here. Wow, different JMU offense with Thorpe back.
Last week in the disaster (as far as JMU fans are concerned) 28-10 loss @ UNH, JMU came into the game with the reshuffled OL after losing 2 starters for the rest of the season prior week vs ODU. Jace Edwards had the non throwing arm separated shoulder injury suffered in his TD run in OT vs Maine. Edwards sprains his ankle vs UNH 2nd qtr and toughs it out. Was almost imobile. JMU only scores 10 points against a bad UNH defense (did have the TD called back and were stuffed on 4th and 1 from 2).
Thorpe came back just in time! Edwards didn't practice all week and didn't even dress vs URI due to the sprained ankle.
-Had 16 rushes for 104 yds. (Did take 3 sacks for -16 for a 19 carries for 88 yds net. The rebuilt JMU OL isn't as good). Fumbled once. Compare this to Edwards who the last 3 games I don't know if had a single called running play.
-6 for 13 passing 1 TD, 0 INT.
Daequan Scoot 13 carries for 130 yds, including 66 yarder.
This game wasn't even as close as the score indicated. JMU was up 28-6 4th qtr when had a redzone TD called back for the 2nd week in a row due to holding. Had to settle for FG to go up 31-6.
URI got a late 4th qtr drive against JMU's 2nd string de, scoring with 8 second left to make the game appear closer than it was. JMU defense was pretty suffocating, Got 4 turnovers, limiting what had been a pretty good URI to 192 yards of offense before the late 4th qtr garbage time drive.
Its not like URI sucks- they beat UD and W&M. JMU looked like a team on a mission to make the playoffs.
GD you Justin Thorpe. If you didn't smoke a bowl JMU is 8-2 right now instead of 6-4 and not having to worry about having to beat UMass to in at 7-4, which possibly still might not get JMU in.

JMU 31, URI 13 I should have just said by 2-3 TDs, which is what I would have predicted if not picking an exact score like I do for the other CAA games..BDKJMU wrote:Rhode Island @ James Madison 24-10 (Thorpe is starting).
