SH - you are flat wrong in this case.

I watched the game - what they were discussing was - as a participant in a conference title game - were they to lose - they'd be 6-7 and need an exemption to make ANY bowl game... what they were bemoaning was that UCLA gets to play for a conference title with such a pitiful record - it was in the context of regretting that USC wouldn't be there.

Short answer - no matter WHAT happens - UCLA WILL NOT be in a BCS Bowl... it's not possible.
