Does your new system allow you to tease out differences in voting between AGS and CS to indicate an institutional bias on either board?

Not on it's own....that would take some work by me as of now....working on a system that splits CS and AGS

The system is already in place it just isn't being used as of yet cuz I was wondering when you are closing this down for picks and so forth? You hadn't answered that last pm but if you want to look at them separately I'll make a temporary sheet now for ya.

Just a quick heads up....As I pointed out in my original picks game Louisville is my second FBS team (I also have family in the Louisville area). Due to those factors I just finalized plans for a trip to the Louisville/Kentucky game Sept 2nd in Louisville.

I'm leaving Cedar Falls Aug 30 and won't be back until very late Monday night Sept 3rd. I'm taking Tuesday Sept 4 off of work to catch up on rest (12 hour drive that I do in one day).

What that means is that the scores/games might not be up until Tuesday Sept 4 for week 2.

I appreciate your understanding.

No big, clenz. You get big props for even doing this. A potential hitch for ONE week (or even a few more) out of a season as long as this is is nothing to worry about.

Hope you get through that trip safely and have fun.

FWIW, ODU can't receive the CAA's AQ...only an at-large. It shouldn't be an option on the sheet.

Post how each person did on picking the 30 games so I can how Sagarin and Massey did to the distribution of results. Of course Sagarin could only pick 27 of the games because it doesn't do D2. The first week's games were pretty easy and also both systems don't get fully "connected" until there are enough games. But it'll still be interesting to follow. Here's how the two systems did for week 1:

Sagarin 24 - 3 (20 - 1 for FCS top 25)
Games wrong:
Youngstown State at Pitt
Southern Illinois at Eastern Illinois
Boise State at Michigan State

Massey 27 - 3 (21 - 2 for FCS top 25)
Games wrong:
Eastern Washington at Idaho
Youngstown State at Pitt
Southern Illinois at Eastern Illinois

I'll say ahead of time that it's likely that somebody did better just by random chance because there are 22 people involved and most of the picks were pretty easy. As we get more and more games through the season including more games that are harder to call the less likely that will be to happen. Still could happen and we could test whether it's the case or not if and when the time comes. But less likely than now.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

I know some have been asking to see the results. Here is an overview of the results by picks. I just got back from a great trip to Louisville today, so I'll work on getting individual scores posted tomorrow and a new sheet up tomorrow. This is a composite for ALL picks. I'll post a breakdown of just CS as well when I get there. DISCLAIMER: There were two test sheets submitted - one with all the top line picks, the other with all of the bottom line picks with one from CS and one from AGS. So, take one away from each column and you have your total.

Total points sheet has been updated and now includes totals, a sheet for each persons picks week by week, as well as seeing the other sites picks. I'll be adding some color touches over time as well.

I did the same thing. Make sure you choose the CS totals sheet at the bottom. You ended up with 27 points.

One more update.

The Total Sheet in my signature has all the picks and totals for each site listed on tabs on the bottom. You can see what each person picked and their total points.

I added your schools colors to your name on the sheet. If I got it wrong it's because you don't have a school listed - or you try to claim about a billion schools as "your home team" and I just made it pink and yellow.

1 HOUR LEFT TO GET WEEK 2 PICKS IN!

As of right now EVERY SINGLE GAME is at least 2/3's picks of the same team.....The closest picked game is NDSU/CSU, and CSU leads that 65% to 35%, and 1 or two others right at 67% to 33%. After that they start dropping into the 80% to 100% pick ratio very quickly.

Also, I'm seeing a good number of people submitting both picks. This week, and week 1 I took the first submitted picks. Starting next week if there is duplicates I WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING THEM PERIOD! No different than anything else ONLY ONE VOTE!

:coffee:

To be clear, clenz...

There are two separate games - AGS and CS. I assume that one needs to submit two separate sets of picks. (I, for one have two different user names.)

Your voting form asks for which game this vote is for. I vote one time for AGS, then another time for CS. If this is wrong, you and your own form have NOT BEEN CLEAR.

Please clarify, both here and on your voting form.

Thanks!
