Calm down, this is a message board. I do know about the case, but am not going to go on a 5 page rant about all the things that should have been done by the people involved. There is a reason that the DOJ, DOE, NCAA are in missoula, and it isn't to go to the MO club. I THINK (opinion) that there was a cover-up at some level. I don't know if it was as the university level, or at the city level, but something isn't right. THE FACT IS two UM football players have now been charged with rape in the last 6 months. Spin the wheel all you want, but that is what is going on. Justice will be done in a court of law, just like it should. Was the PENN State joke a cheap shot? fuck yeah it was, and I didn't do it to beMvemjsunpx wrote:I said "reportedly" because the original article from a month or so ago didn't mention him by name (we just all assumed it was Johnson because it was obvious). linkSACCAT wrote:
First off , no that is not what you said. You said he was "reportedly voted expelled". It wasn't reportedly , HE WAS EXPELLED. he appealed the expulsion and was allowed to still be on the team as the appeal was going on.
Uh, here's the actual quote (from here):SACCAT wrote: He was then charged with rape, and will now NOT be on the team ( your president said it tonight " Jordan Johnson is no longer on the team).
So he is still technically a member of the team right now.University of Montana President Royce Engstrom said in an interview with NBC Montana that Johnson had been removed from the team.
"Given the charges that have been filed against Mr. Johnson, our student athlete conduct code calls for immediate suspension from team activities, and we will put that into affect right away," said Engstrom. "We will just have to let due process play out."
While he's been suspended indefinitely from the football team, Johnson's still enrolled as a UM student at this time.
Um, yeah, you're a **** idiot.SACCAT wrote:I am not happy with what is going on at MSU or UM right now, but don't act like you should keep him on the team until this plays out...what are you PENN STATE?
Comparing this situation to Penn State (where a school is known to have actively covered up serial child molestation) is ridiculous & you know it's ridiculous, so it seems clear to me you aren't really interested in a serious discussion. You obviously aren't as well-versed on the facts of this as you think you are, either, so maybe you should educate yourself before barging through the door like an ignorant, sanctimonious *******.
sanctimonious (I prefer Folgers). But forever now there have been alot (not all) of griz fans that have said that this whole thing is a sham and that JJ was getting screwed. The prosecution isn't going to bring charges unless the are damn sure they can win. Don't you watch Law and Order?
