At this point, I would guess that App State is hot.

The video is 7 years old now.

It's now entering the "retro" phase so it's cool now. 8-)

I'm of the Appalachian 'Brakefield' generation. By the late '70s there were times when the only reason to hang around to the half was to see the 'Band of Distinction'

Hard to say how it will go against the Grizz, but their trip to The Rock will be worth it when the BoD takes the field!

I will be watching and recording the game. I think it will be a game of the year..hopefully...(haters aside...Montana is no SUU)

I will expect some calls/texts from, the few I have, my App State brethren.

Early Rumor Alert: ASUG8 has sold his Pontiac, took out a loan, and sold his son so he could afford a Monster Truck so he won't get towed for this game. Props go out to him!

I would like to. I will be at Red's on Saturday. I paid for my pops to get the game so he is having some of his friends over to drink, eat, watch the Griz win ( hopefully_) and be rowdy.

Early rumor alert: I hear Monty will be parachuting into The ROCK at halftime from a AC-130.

Validity: Partially true.

The Pontiac has indeed been sold, and I have taken out another loan for a different vehicle. However, all my knuckle sons and daughters have ended up in a crusty old sock over the years which I doubt anyone would want to buy. No comment on the truck.

Appy put on a good show at EZU. This game is gonna separate the contender from the pretender.
I think both are great teams, but I don't think Montana has an answer for Appy's speed and that will be the difference in the game.

Convince me otherwise, Griz fans. :thumb:
I don't get why you guys from the south think your football teams are so much faster than the midwestern teams. NDSU has played a lot of teams from the south and we have never had a problem with this so called speed advantage you guys supposedly have and if memory serves me right the Griz haven't had too much trouble with that "crazy southern speed" either. No smack intended, I respect both these programs and look forward to the game as well. Just wondering why the speed thing constantly gets brought up....we heard a lot of it before the G. Southern game and the Sam Houston game...not so much after the games though. Good luck to both teams, but I have to pull for the not so fleet of foot Griz.

Rod Chisholm is out for the game. He underwent surgery Monday and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. CB Doug Middleton will miss the rest of 2012 because of an ankle injury at EZU. I haven't heard anything on JJ. We need our guys to step up.

Keep that baby above 5k feet . . . . . . anything less and I'll have to duck up on Snake Den Mtn. Any way we can get copies of the game? We'll roll some Woffle preppies if you need cash.

The BoD wiki is a downer. Apparently, they've been hit hard and need to rebuild. Go Band! :D

Hey, Plowboy .... let's see how fast you can call this number:
1-828-262-7825

That would be Charlie Cobb, Director of Athletics (cobbcg@appstate.edu)

On behalf of the Appalachian family, we would be more than happy to demonstrate how fast we are, and how fast we play. We may even play faster than you make love to your sheep.

Hey? Maybe you could buy out Michigan in 2014 for $1,000,000.00 or so . . . . luv to come play for yah in person.

Just spoke with a friend who arrived last night on the EC(b). He walked into a bar next to the hotel he was staying thinking he would grab a beer or two and then hit the hay. He was forced to stay late and talk football with a couple of App State fans that noticed his Griz gear.

He just stayed the one night. He left this morning on his way to.....shit. Some place not far from Boone, or on the outskirts...where he will be staying until Sunday evening and then driving back to catch his flight home ( hopefully victorious )

Probably Valle Crucis is where he's headed outside Boone. I think the rest of the guys here are staying downtown Greenville, maybe Holiday Inn express. They're about 2 blocks from all the trouble they want to get into downtown, right ASUMountaineer?

More nervous about this game after our injuries and suspensions.

Hopefully we finally bag that elusive Griz, though.

Didn't see anything mentioned, but rumors are that Jordan Canada won't be making the trip. Luckily that still leaves us with 2 of our 3 "starting" RBs, which worked well enough last week since he was a non-contributor

Still, disappointing to know our RB of the future can't get his sh#t together.

We are talking bets if he makes it back to his hotel after the game on Saturday night. Popular bets have been asleep on a bench, sleeping on random hotel lobby couch, passing out in random hotel room after party.

I don't know why anyone would be worried about this game. Take it for what it is, a matchup between two FCS powerhouses. Enjoy the game, hospitality of the others fans, and don't worry about team records or over analyzing this and that.

Be happy in the moment.
