Towson has a better chance of beating LSU than UNH does of beating Delaware?

That makes total sense.

So wait. LSU is NOT the best chance to win!?! :?

Does this factor in the point spread? That would make a little more sense. A little.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."

How come there is no UD @ UNH game thread? Since there isn't, I'll ask & mention this on here:

UD got some of those injured LBs back I assume? I know when watching the 1st half of the UD/DSU game they said UD was down 5 of their 6 top LBs.

As far as UNH, sounds like they might be missing their big about 300 lb senior DT Jared Smith who would make a big difference against that UD big OL and Pierce trying to slow down the UD run game. Course you wouldn't know from Comcast's sh*tty coverage last week that UNH had 3 defensive starters go down.

"'Cats lick wounds, then look forward
Injuries to 'D' add to challenge

....One of the key injuries was to free safety Chris Beranger, who had to leave with a concussion in the middle of the third quarter. With Beranger out, the Monarchs repeatedly gashed the UNH defense over the deep middle of the field to go on a 23-3 fourth-quarter run. The Wildcats also lost their top defensive lineman, senior tackle Jared Smith, as well as senior defensive end Randy Vines, with a pair of knee injuries. Their absence, plus the fatigue factor, kept UNH from getting any pressure on Heinicke late in the game.....

...Injury report

Beranger will be out this week as he recovers from the concussion. Smith, who would be a big help against Delaware's running game, and Vines have both been limited in practice this week and are questionable for the game......"
http://www.concordmonitor.com/article/3 ... SGroupId=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

With UNH's injuries on the D from last week, am going to change my prediction from UNH by 4 to UD by 3.

2nd straight road game for UD. UNH lost 3 defensive starters last week versus ODU, including 2 DL.

ODU (4-0, 1-0) @ UR (3-1/1-0) by 7
Definitely think UR is better than everyone before the season thought they would be, and they have a chance in this one.

Villanova (3-1/1-0) @ Maine (1-2/0-0) by 3
Initially today was going to go with Nova, but I had Maine winning this at the beginning of the season, so will stick with that.

URI (0-3/0-1) @ Bowling Green (1-3/0-1) by 31
BG might not be as good as JMU, but it is at BG.

GST (0-4/0-1) @ W&M (0-4/0-2) by 14
Think W&M is probably 2 TDs better than GST @ home and 1 TD on the road.

Towson (2-1/1-0) @ LSU (4-0/1-0) by 38[/b][/b][/b][/b]
UNH 34, UD 14  (UD- the most bi-polar team in I-AA).
ODU 45, UR 37 :thumb: :thumb: (Almost nailed it- had ODU by 7).
Nova 35, Maine 14
BG 48, URI 8 :thumb:
W&M 35, GST 3 :thumb:
LSU 38, TU 22 :thumb:

And with URI's loss @ BG, the CAA goes 0-10 vs I-A. Winless against I-A for the 1st time since 2001....

FWIW, LSU seems to call off the dogs a little on I-AA's:

LSU 49 - NWSt 3
LSU 32 - McNeese 10
LSU 41 - AppSt 13
LSU 24 - AppSt 0
LSU 35 - WIU 7

In each of these seasons, these were not the most lopsided victories the Tigers had. Considering they already beat Idaho 63-14 this year, I think LSU might lay off the Tiger Cubs a little.

Don't look that good 1st 3 games. Look great one week vs W&M, like a CAA title contender, then look horrible the next week vs UNH.

Eh, they were fine in the first 3 games (heck, the DSU game was over at the half and they held Bucknell to 3 pts in the 3rd game). And they had a bad second half against UNH. I think UNH had 69 yards of offense and no points in the first half on Saturday. Not a lot of CAA teams win 2 games, back to back, on the road against conference foes when URI or Georgia St isn't one of the games. Next three weeks the Hens have Maine, a bye, and URI. They'll be 6-1 going into Norfolk where even UD's conservative offense will score in bunches. Punchers chance to win that game and UD still has a good shot to be 9-2 or 8-3 at the worst. All is not lost because they lost on the road to UNH.

Yeah, UD is 6-1 going into Norfolk. Last 4 games:
@ ODU
Towson
@ UR
Villanova.

Way things are looking now, that is a brutal last 4 game stretch (UR and Nova are both much improved over last yr) where UD will need to win 2 to to hit the magic 8-3/7-3 vs Div I.

Huh? Thought W&M scored 21 vs UD?

UD offense 30, W&M offense 14. W&M got a non offensive TD also.

Last week's CAA thread I stated that UD/W&M wasn't as lopsided as the score indicated. GF and BHB said it was. Now you're saying it wasn't. You'all need to get on the same page....

Well, UD beat all 4 of those teams last year with two of them on the road so all we have to do, with a better team by far this year than last, is win 2 of those games (half of what we did last year). Doesn't seem particularly brutal.

Yeah, but the win over ODU was @ UD over "small hands", not Heineke.
UD may be by far better than last yr, but so are UR and Nova, and Talley seems to have Keelers #, winning what, 5 of the last 6?
