Re: Who is #1?
The Big Sky should have 4 schools in the top 10 in every significant poll in the country tomorrow
Re: Who is #1?
It's great seeing Cal Poly doing so well. I've always had an affinity for them since they played ODU two years ago. Do the Mustangs still run the Triple O...which is pretty cool considering they're in a "throwing league?"

Still a triple option team but they run some spread as well (kind if the Oregon offense). Broadous is the same QB who started at ODU; he passed for 200 yards yesterday; that is about 3x his average.∞∞∞ wrote:It's great seeing Cal Poly doing so well. Funny, I am pretty fond of ODU because of that game. I follow the ODU MBB team as well.
I actually like that the offense is unique in the BSC....I think it gives them an edge

Maybe if another top 5 team loses, they'll be in my top 5.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Gil Dobie wrote:I didn't have Montana St ranked as high as the polls have them. Georgia Southern is my new #1, NDSU drops to 8. Poly and EWU enter the top 10 in my poll.

EWU never should've been that low in the first place. Was this your top 10?Gil Dobie wrote:So I should move #13 to #1 after they beat #5Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

Re: Who is #1?
I agree. Pretty tough for a defense to prepare for a pass heavy team one week then turn around and try to get prepared for a triple option attack. Hell i don't think anybody could be ready if they had a month to prep for it.CPAlum wrote:Still a triple option team but they run some spread as well (kind if the Oregon offense). So you are saying, I just don't have EWU #1. I hope you get that over-ranked team from Texas in the playoffs.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:No, you're not a homer, just a terrible evaluator.Gil Dobie wrote:

Re: Who is #1?
It has nothing to do with EWU not being #1. IMO, they aren't the #1 team yet. I'm saying your top ten is a joke because you didn't even have EWU or CP in the top ten last week, but you did (and still do) have some teams that either have embarrassing bad losses, or have a bunch of close wins against nobodies.Gil Dobie wrote:So you are saying, I just don't have EWU #1.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

6 points vs winless Weber St. Isn't that a close win against a nobody.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:It has nothing to do with EWU not being #1. IMO, they aren't the #1 team yet. Re: Who is #1?
Let's see, we have 7 of the same teams in the top 10, but mine is a joke because the Big Sky teams are lower, and you have 4 Big Sky teams in the top 10. I have the same #2 as Jalmond, so are you saying his a joke? I am very very happy I don't think like youSE's Poll
1: Eastern Washington Eagles (2)
2: James Madison Dukes (4)
3: Cal Poly Mustangs (8)
4: Georgia Southern Eagles (10)
5: North Dakota State Bison (1)
6: Stony Brook Seawolves (7)
7: Wofford Terriers (5)
8: Appalachian State Mountaineers (12)
9: Montana State Bobcats (6)
10: Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (13)

Also, Weber would be 7-0 against Lehigh's schedule. But I can totally see how 3 point wins over Georgetowns and Princeton's are far superior to a 6 point win over Weber.

Re: Who is #1?
How many losses does Lehigh have? They are always overlooked and end up winning a playoff game that nobody expects. I doubt they move up in my poll, but with their schedule, a loss drops them a long way. Anyway, you can have your poll rankings, the playoffs are what matters.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:One, vs a whole bunch.Gil Dobie wrote:

I watched JMU last week and wasn't all that impressed with them either.
Cal Poly gives me nightmares.

What a glorious mess!
I would vote for NDSU as number 1 again this week. I think they are still the favorites despite saturday's loss.
