I don't think it was a sellout (not motivated enough to peruse the internet for actual numbers) but it was one of the better sized crowds I'd seen there. I remember the student section was pretty packed. I think I've only been to one or two Skydome sellouts that I can remember...parents weekend or homecoming when they beat the Griz in the late 90s was a huge crowd.jacksdude0109 wrote:how was our turnout?

Re: Is NAU the real deal?
i tried looking on the web to find the numbers but couldnt. id imagine even we would sellout a playoff game with 10,000 seats. apparently the closest we hav e gotten this year was about 500 short at family weekend.mtjack wrote:I don't think it was a sellout (not motivated enough to peruse the internet for actual numbers) but it was one of the better sized crowds I'd seen there. I'm not going anywhere since NAU is gonna be around for a long time.
Re: Is NAU the real deal?
For some reason I have a real strong gut feeling that NDSU and NAU are gonna meet up in the playoffs. I hope I'm right, because we haven't played for many years, its always interesting when you play somebody new. If we do here's to it bieng in the FargoDome

Wasn't that what was said in 2001 & 2003? You haven't been able to manage better than 6-5 since the 9-4 '03 season.

It is fun to see teams that haven't had a whole lot of success think that a good season means prolonged periods at the top.
I said it before... NAU could conceivably go 9-2 this year with no wins over winning teams. I will reserve any judgement on the Jacks until December.

Re: Is NAU the real deal?
its entirely possible that we have a change of culture here at nau. our new ad is promising, and it might be a while but nau could establish a winning tradition. i think that for us to have prolonged success that our football coach needs to go, regardless of what our team has done this season. hopefully the new ad realizes that too. but for now i am enjoying the success. go jacks89Hen wrote:It is fun to see teams that haven't had a whole lot of success think that a good season means prolonged periods at the top.

Wait, so Jerome FINALLY manages to beat the Griz and not orchestrate an epic meltdown (in the regular season, at least) and NOW you want to give him the boot? Re: Is NAU the real deal?
hey the season isnt over yet. and you havent seen his playcalling every game like ihave. one good season isnt going to change things, unless it really turns out to be great {a run in the playoffs]. our team has been drenched in mediocrity for far too long. we have had too much talent to finish the way we have in the past. prove me wrong jerome. i hope campos has told you youre on thin iceGrizalltheway wrote:Wait, so Jerome FINALLY manages to beat the Griz and not orchestrate an epic meltdown (in the regular season, at least) and NOW you want to give him the boot?
