I'll take the team that plays better defense.
Grizz 35-21
Griz have played no one good. (Well, except NAU, who kicked their ass). EWU has faced two of the top offenses in the FBS, and one of the top offenses in FCS, thus skewing the stats. Against three conference opponents, EWU has given up a grand total of 2 TDs. 16 pts per game.
SHSU put 49 on EWU, IMO a good defense does not give up that many points. SHSU scored a total of 19 points on the Bison in 2 games and those SHSU teams were better than this year's squad.

I'll take the Grizz at home.
Acknowledged. A good d also does not give up the yards rushing we did to SHSU. I'm not saying the Griz won't score their points or that EWU's d has shut down a good offense. I'm just pointing out that Montana has not faced a passing attack like this one yet...who can also run.

SHSU put up 42 on our defense (pick 6)... which is 4 points less than what the #9 scoring offense in FBS put on us. I never said we had a good defense, but we're certainly not as bad as you and some Griz fans make it out to be. I think it can handle the Griz offense... which is nowhere near as potent as SHSU or Oregon State's.

I'm not disagreeing with the fact that EWU's offense is pretty damn good. Quick strike and a very good QB. All I'm saying that in a heated rivalry game the team that has the better defense probably has an advantage because all it takes is one mistake to turn the game.
It will probably be a barn-burner that will come down to the last series and who has the ball last.

You may be right but the game is in Missoula....tough place for any visiting team to play.

Really? The same SHSU offense that scored 7 and 23 the last two games? The same SHSU offense that was held to SEVEN just one week after putting 49 on EWU? The same SHSU that was just held to 84 yard rushing by McNeese, two weeks after piling up 450 RUSHING yards against the Eagles? That same McNeese team that got obliterated by UNI just three weeks ago?
Is SHSU's offense potent? Or just potent against EWU?

Lamar beat OK Panhandle 75-0, while the Griz gave up 14. Trust me...you're no Lamar .

OK Einstein. OKPSU would have gone home in body bags if Delaney hadn't called off the dogs 9 minutes into the game. Honestly, the Griz could have scored 150 if they had wanted to....and you know it. But you're right...the Griz are no Lamar.

Same SHSU offense that ravaged the Griz in 2011. So I guess potent against the BSC.

If the Griz had done to Panhandle what they're capable of, Delaney would have been sued for bullying....
That said, the Eags STILL beat the Griz....

The Griz have done a great job in keeping PSU and CPU's offenses from scoring. They haven't really faced any other offensive threats.
We're now running the football better than we have in a few years, and no one, including Oregon State, Toledo, SHSU, or SUU have been able to stop our passing attack. It will be very interesting to see how Montana's defense does.
Oregon State -- win
Toledo -- loss
SHSU -- loss
SUU -- win
2-2 for the unstoppable passing offense. Gotta love those moral victories.

I'm hoping for great games from all teams! But, when the clock runs out, winning team's fans will be the ones ecstatically partying all night, while the others will be cocooned by the dreaded agony of defeat, yet still find the inner strength to party all night!
