Small sample size, but I wouldn't put Montana as the #1 team, either. SFPA might be better than some people are giving them credit for, but that game should not have been close. It was a somewhat poor performance by Montana against a team from a traditionally weak FCS conference.

I think we can really tell at this point is who are the top 4-5 teams, and who are perhaps the really bad ones...but based on one performance, Montana at #1 based on a poor performance in week 1, and a couple of wins from last year? That's not how it works.

Four turnovers and two huge kick returns are what did it. Both are things we can improve on. The game should never have been so close.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
