19,000 in the Fargodome, with no bad views. Loud home-field advantage and no mention?

UNI and Fargo guys. This a thread about Stadiums (a large structure for open-air sports or entertainments) not domes. You can say whatever you want but domes are fucking horseshit and you know it. Stadiums are facilities for OUTDOOR activities and you guys don't have stadiums.

The Ivy's have great facilities and should be on any list and must have been an oversight on BF's behalf.

Tank Franks, & I went back and forth about exclusion of the Ivy League stadiums.. The conclusion was: since the stadiums were built (with a FEW exceptions) for FBS of Division 1A teams, they arent REALLY FCS stadiums. This (sort of) includes the swac stadiums... if I were to list them, they'd all be in the top 25.. think about it....
:coffee:

If you are going to compare it to Wash-Griz, sure, but not some of these other stadiums. I would rather watch a game in the Fargodome over any stadium with a track. The #1 thing for me is being close to the action and the Fargodome has steep seating that puts you right on top of the field.

As for the Ivy FBS argument, Princeton's stadium was built fairly recently.

Lets just say, the Ivy League & Swac Stadiums are the best & thats why they were left out. This 'top 25' was for inferior, playoff participating, teams.

I can kind of see that but I would still rather watch a game at App, TXST, and so on than in a dome. It's close though considering the closer to the action thing. Just a difference of opinion on it.

Ursus is a dome-ophobe.

And the Ivies aren't members of the FCS, IMO. You can't be a member of the Football Championship Subdivision if you don't participate in the championship. (of course, the SWAC doesn't send their top teams, but there is still a possibility that their 3rd place or whatever could get an at-large, so I'll say they're at least borderline members.)

Not really...he, like most of the folks that understand football, don't like to watch a football game "inside".

I still want to know your reasoning in placing Holy Cross's stadium over App's?

meh. playing football "inside" is no more of an aberration than playing football on artificial turf.

I agree Franklin Field might crack that top 25..... 50,000+ seats
Even though it probably looks pretty barren with the few who show up these days...

Thats not how it went. I was making fun of you because your criteria was retared, but you decided to continue with that criteria anyway. Your criteria and list sucks, but ist your list so you can make it however you want.

The campus and downtown itself are the safest part of the county, but sadly once you drive 5 minutes either way, you are in a rough area of town. The suburbs, where most YSU fans live, are safe as can be. :thumb:

It seems your list is very arbitrary, I went back and looked at the stadium pics thread and noticed that you only selected some of the CAA stadiums as being "eligible"

delaware
hofstra
jmu
umass
old dominion
W & M

Why is UR's stadium "excluded". And you "exclude" stadiums of someteams that were once FBS, but then wouldn't The Citadel's Stadium be in that crowd, and Holy Cross's? Is that why UR's stadium can't be eligible? Not that I would really think UR Stadium is one of the top 25, but neither are a lot of others on that list..

Fitton Field is 23k, 3/4 enclosed, horse shoe... w/No track, the press box isnt great, but its still a great stadium. Im sure they done sell it out, they dont have national championships, & Armanti Edwards but that doesnt determine a nice stadium does it? ;)

 What'dya want? I reviewed every conference, except ivy & swac. I agreed the list isnt perfect.. but its close. I can make a case as to why all those stadiums should be in the top 25... fair is fair. :)

Yeah I don't like that Richmond Stadium. It looks too weird. When you sit at the 50 yard line on the circular side, you are like 25 yards away from the field!

let me guess..... you think swampy Comboy stadium, with two 8,500 seat grand stands on each side should make the list? You've got to be kidding! ;)
