They lost to AppSt, GSU and Furman in the regular season. Furman lost in the second round, GSU lost in the first round and AppSt DIDN'T EVEN MAKE THE FUCKING PLAYOFFS. The only way Wofford got screwed was they were the best team to not make the playoffs, NOT that they really had a shot at the title.

Absofuckinglutely. And if you remember correctly, I was NOT in favor of expanding the playoffs. That said, ONCE AGAIN, you make my point for me. We'll have four more teams that really have no shot at making the playoffs. With 20 teams in the field, THERE IS NO CHANCE A TEAM THAT HAS A PLAUSABLE CHANCE OF WINNING THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP WILL GET LEFT OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS.AZGrizFan wrote:Got it. So when Richmond gets bypassed this year you believe they'll have no legitimate claim to not being included?
And why expand the playoffs this year then?

BSU has proven on multiple occasions that teams from less prestigious conferences can hang with and even beat the big boys. Anything can happen in a playoff system, that's what makes it so engaging.AZGrizFan wrote:A TCU/Auburn matchup would end up something like the Delaware/Delaware State matchup a few years ago.Appaholic wrote:

Re: Montana staying in FCS
Not a legitimate one...they can make a claim, similar to VT bitching about not making the field of 65 in BB last year. But they didn't have a legitimate bitch since, when given the opportunity to control their destiny, they failed 1-2 times too many....same as Richmond this year. In FBS, Richmond could, who may playing some of the best ball of the season near the end as you say, wouldn't even get a chance if they were arbitrarily rated number 3 inthe nation.AZGrizFan wrote:Got it. So when Richmond gets bypassed this year you believe they'll have no legitimate claim to not being included?89Hen wrote: OH MY GOD! What kind of STUPID PILLS are you taking today. You're like fucking Cybil today. THIS IS MY EXACT POINT!!! Our system works because we put the best 10-12 teams in the field. The last 4-6 are just window dressing, and the ones that are left out are NOTHING. WE HAVE A TRUE CHAMPION because all of the teams that have a realistic shot at winning it make the field.

You're fokking crazy if you're implying TCU / Auburn this year is even remotely on the same level as Delaware / Delaware St. Maybe Auburn / FSU this year or Auburn / Pitt....you know, two teams for tha have conferences....AZGrizFan wrote:A TCU/Auburn matchup would end up something like the Delaware/Delaware State matchup a few years ago.Appaholic wrote:

The point you don't get about it AZ...all anybody wants is a chip & chair at the table to make their own way.
You say that those of us that believe in this system are saying that it is flawless? Nobody has uttered anything close to that. You made that up yourself.
In FBS you don't get a chip, and you god damn sure don't get a chair. You really chose a stupid argument to hitch your horse to and it ain't working out in any way, shape, or form for ya.

One final thought on this subject: IF (and it's a very large if, because of the money involved) the FBS ever DID go to a playoff (whether it was 4, 8 or 16 teams), then FCS football would become even more irrelevant than it is now to the vast majority of the country. So, as long as the Griz are in the Big Sky, I hope FBS never gets a true playoff. But if the Griz move up, I hope they do. How's that for "crystal"?
