25 k would be tough to get a sellout. Now that its actually about 27k JMU might sell out zero games, and theres nothing wrong with that. You don't build for now, you build for the future.JMUpurplehazed wrote:Lopsided, I know I'm biased but in person the lopsided factor is not all that bad... I'm still in shock this has been pulled off, especially now, if the timeing had been 6-9 months later, who knows...
I think we can sell it out a few times a year w/FCS programs...I hope game one sells out!!! then homecomings, parent weekends and maybe ODU if ODU brings a nice crowd (3 hrs)...Liberty brings a few buses...DE & W&M?
JMU has the nutz to expand and fill if we ever find ourselves in a disirable fbs conference, the never ending debate
Maine/New Hamp/Rhody/Towson and OC cupcakes in the cold months will be tough...
You stated OC cupcakes in the "cold months" ie Nov/Dec. I don't know where you came up with that. The fact is JMU in recent history has never scheduled an OOC cupcake in the "cold months", or even a regular season OOC period in Nov. Going back 9 seasons to 02', 27 regular season OOC games, 26 have been in Sept, the only exception being VMI 04' which was in Oct.
The only OOC JMU is going to be playing in the "cold months" will be in the playoffs, and they aren't going to be cupcakes.
