He's OK, but no genius. If he was a genius, he would figure out a way to fry the ketchup too (sans container).andy7171 wrote:Is that a fried hamburger?bandl wrote: What's that? "HEY GUYS! ME'S COOKS FRIED FOODS."

There's a place in Athens that does this... WR is behind the times, fried hamburgers are like so last year Andy. Gosh, I though you were up on the times with your MTV and what not.
The one in Athens comes with smoked Gouda, Bacon, Onions, special sauce, dipped in a Guiness beer batter then deep fried. I've been meaning to try it, but I've also been meaning to keep my arteries clean. It's a paradox.

Closest I've come to clogging myself up is fried candy, which is also not a newfound fad by any means. There's a place up the street that does fried snickers, bananas, milky ways and twinkies.

No, but I also don't consider "up to 6" of snow" bad weather. If I did, then I could list about 30 games that I've been to, and about half of them being baseball games in April.Ursus A. Horribilis wrote:You've done it twice huh? That's really **** amazing.bodoyle wrote:
I went to a Bears game. Windchill -43. Went to ND/Northwestern game 8" of snow. I'm pretty sure I can talk about this.
The point was that the announcers were probably trying to set the picture for those at home. They were not used to it and may have come off dramatic in the telling.
That's just great. I'm so glad they painted a picture for the people watching...... ON TV. I hate it when I can't tell what the weather is like while I am seeing the environment.

If only they could learn from such a sage know everything like yourself. Hopefully this memo will get to them bo so they can take the corrective actions on how to fill the broadcast and eliminate the little 3-5 second annoyances for you.

At least we didn't get "Did you know Jeff Fischer's son plays for Montana?" ad nauseum. Maybe they're saving it for the NC game?

Probably. Because he'll be there since the Titans have a home game Sunday.CatMom wrote:At least we didn't get "Did you know Jeff Fischer's son plays for Montana?" ad nauseum. Maybe they're saving it for the NC game?

Yea, I know. I wish more people like me watching tv could actually see the screen so they can see the weather. Apparently ESPN was broadcasting to a large blind population with tv's.Ursus A. Horribilis wrote:Yeah they were real jackasses for doing what they did.bodoyle wrote:

Shiiit. If it was 3-5 seconds, that would have been fine. Instead we have them saying "And the weather forecast?? WINTER......STORM.......WARNING!!!!" and having it on the top of the screen in CAPS as well.

Seriously? Are we still trying to find something to complain about? It was a MUCH better broadcast compared to previoous years. The vast majority of people in this country doesn't live in the mountains or where it snows 7 months out of the year. Those people get giddy when it snows. I played football for 9 years of my life, not ONE game or practice was in the snow.
It was a good game, and fun to see the snow. The announcers felt the same.

I'm old school in my tech ways but have been a friend of Ursus for most of my life. We started watching the griz at age of 18 and they had a lack of everything back then. We have been able to experience this incredible griz experience together and survived some wicked hangovers along the way. What a ride this has been and hope it never ends. It will be nice to get to know you all and good luck to your teams in the years to come.bobbythekidd wrote:First off... Welcome. Any friend of Ursus' is a friend of mine... I'm not so sure how much ESPN will hate FCS (or at least App State and Montana) after this weekend's ratings.
