New ASU Video

When they built the tower on the west side they included a production room utilized for GoASUTV, putting together game film, and making these videos. I'm not a tech guy, but during a tour of the facility it reminded me of something I would have seen at the ESPNU facility here in Charlotte, first class.

Unfortunately it wasn't one of the pictures of the new facility at goasu.com.

Jesus, that is amazing. I felt like I didn't know the outcome of every game while watching that. I was sure they were gonna score on that final drive. Anyone who doesn't know the outcome has to believe that.

Does ASU have a film school? Those game highlight videos make me think the maker(s) of this video have access to equipment that is pretty hard to come by.

don't think we do, but from what I understand, we have a "good" relationship with NASCAR, meaning somebody's family member from the football team (not sure if this is correct, but we have some kind of close connection) is a high up with NASCAR film productions. If I'm wrong, one of my App brethern who is in the know please correct me.....but I have heard we have access to very good film equipment and talent.

Great video! JMU had a 15 min ish video done of the NC season after 04', but it wasn't as good as that ASU video. Was all highlights and post season interviews. No dialog or documentary type stuff during the season. Guess hindsight is 20/20. If they knew they were going to win the NC, or even make it far in the playoffs, maybe they would have tried to do a documentary like video like ASU did. No video close to like that after the 08' semi run other than season highlights.

The ASU video did leave off that ESPN Top 10 highlight reel hit in the ASU @ Montana semis though. They should have included that. That was one of the best hits I saw all season.

I agree with ya but you do have the App/Mich. youtube in your sig so maybe the condition affects many in differing situations.

I hardly think a comparison can be made between one of the most influential plays in college football history and a cheesy school promotional flick.

You are correct. We do have a family connection with NASCAR films. Don't know if the other video's showed up on the link or not, but this isn't the first time Jake and Co have wowed the fans.

I don't care but I'm sure you've had someone you know that toots his own horn constantly and doesn't give you a chance to appreciate anything he's accomplished because he just keeps going on about it.

Sometimes things get a little overdone which is exactly what I was referring to about the "Hot, hot, hot" video.

Me personally, I loved it but it falls into the category of WaGriz Stadium, The Hellgate winds, etc. from the UM fans. It has been severely overdone.

You cant possibly believe ppl are going to care about ASU's win or Michigan in a few years. If you think about Michigan sucked that year and they've sucked ever since. in hindsight, doesnt it make since that ASU beat em?

Michigan didn't suck in 2007.

They stomped the shit out of Tebow and the Gators in their bowl game, finished 9-4, they have 7 or 8 players from that team playing in the NFL, and they finished the season ranked #18.

They were certainly overrated at #5... but, not badly. After the Appalachian game they fell completely out of the polls. If Michigan beat App... they would have finished ranked around 10 or 11. That certainly doesn't suck. And Michigan fans would kill for the season they had in 2007 this year... App game and all.
