Someone at TSN must be smoking crack . . . Elon, with a 1-3 record, in the top 25? Who did they lose to, the Pittsburgh Steelers? Don't tell me they played a tough schedule, either; 3 losses is still 3 losses and no one should be ranked at this time with losses in 3 of their first 4 games. How's the best defensive team in the Big Sky Conference, NAU, (look at the stats) not ranked in the top 25? I want to get a hold of whatever TSN is smokin' for my next tailgate. :?

This isn't about my team. I didn't expect UNI to be a very good team this year.

This is about where, and why you think they should be ranked or not ranked. The fact that you think Montana is top 25 worthy and UNI is not, is just ridiculous.

Why don't you just accept the fact that YOUR team is mediocre this year. :coffee:
Yeah, but a mediocre year for the Griz is like saying the best year in the history of about 98 % of the I-AA FCS teams that are still around.

There we have it. An admission by the biggest ECB homer on the board. Griz dominate, it's a shit conference, Griz are beatable, it's because the Griz suck.

It's a no win argument for BSC fans and I won't be playing your games anymore, you rat bastard.

Uh, yeah. When you are having a down year, you're supposed to lose... see the CAA, MVFC, SoCon, etc...

When you have a down year in the Big Fluff, you share the title with a 7-5 team and lose in the first round at home. Didn't we agree just yesterday that the Griz won't lose another game until the Brawl? :coffee:

I don't know what you consider a deep run but our second team in is usually on the road to a top ranked MVFC seeded school to take them out at home.

Is a Montana fan really making the "but the Big Sky team has to travel for a playoff game" argument?

What constitutes a "deep run"?

Four times in the last 8 years, we've had 3 different teams be one of the last 8 standing.

2003 - NAU quarterfinalist
2004 - EWU quarterfinalist
2006 - Montana State quarterfinalist
2007 - EWU quarterfinalist

But, I will NOT have that argument again. You guys are entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it might be. :thumb:

Edit: and BTW, the last time a MVFC team NOT named UNI threatened for the NC was when Clinton was in office too. :thumb:

Along with UNIs title game appearance a few years ago, WKU won the national title, and there have been several other appearances in the semifinals by MVFC teams.

And don't forget NDSU's mythical national title in '07. :thumb:

I realize a tribe fan doesn't have much to argue about in any sort of a playoff argument but no I was saying they had success IN SPITE of traveling to the homes of others. Surely you can understand that.

Just messing with you Ursus.

I'll be the first to say that the Tribe appears to be overrated this year (in the pollsters eyes) and will need to improve big time before talking about making the playoffs. This is a big week for us.

Ahhh hell tp, we gotta keep it going longer than this otherwise the new guys ain't gonna believe there truly is a WC/ECB thing going on.

I'll believe you're over rated when I see you lose to a team that you shouldn't have. Not when you lose to a team that gave Michigan a god damn heart attack. :thumb:
