JBB who the **** is Sioux Falls Unviersity?

Are they in the same conference as the University of North Dakota State?

Sioux Falls University was a NAIA school that's now transitioning to the D2 level. UND lost to them two years ago in Grand Forks by 15

Wrong.

The University of Sioux Falls is doing that. There IS NOT Sioux Falls University.

I'm well aware of USF, I grew up on the Iowa/SD boarder. Many of the kids I played HS football with play there now, and my school has sent many players to them in the past and will in the future. I turned down my offer to USF to move away from the area. I know of USF

You can't even use the "I refuse to acknowledge their name change" either because it was Sioux Falls College, not University.


So, again I ask. Where is the SFU? Is it a little ND school?

I think Sioux Falls University is an NAIA school in Grand Forks that pays homage to the Sioux Nickname, see "Sioux" Falls. All the Sioux Supporters are breaking off from UND and transferring to the new SFU Sioux.

I had never heard of them until they beat UND at football. They are coming up again because a lot of UND fans want to buy the game out this year. Apparently USF has another good team and UND isnt improving. I guess the price is $160,000.

If you say University of Sioux Falls thats good enough for me, Its Univiversity of Sioux Falls. But they are another reason its the Big 3 Dakota Schools.

Wow, what a fun read.

Truth is that UND could claim a seperate Dakota Territories Championship between the "Big 3" of UND, Montana, and Montana St. since the Dakota Territory was originally comprised of The Dakotas ( North and South), and much of Montana, and Wyoming. But let's not let history get in the way.

Like SDSU fans let history get in the way. They forget that, historically, USD has had a more successful football program. Up until your recent success in winning the Great West Conference the Jacks hadn't won a conference title since 1963. That was back during the Kennedy Administration, to put it in perspective. Then there is that recent playoff run, for the first time in forever, in which the Jacks pissed it down their leg against that other Dakota Territory school (Montana). Good job.

SDSU fans and USD fans are just bitter towards each other and it makes for a good rivalry. While it's not Auburn/Alabama bitter, it's still pretty heated. Well, that's until some Coyote fan goes crazy and nukes McRory Gardens. But then SDSU fans should be used to looking at a burned out, brown patch of land since they spend their Saturdays looking at the cattleyard know as Coughlin Alumni Stadium.

The yotes also seem to forget that in the past 15 meetings of SDSU and usd. usd is 3-12 against the Jacks. Looks like the asskicking is to resume in 2012 at the cow pasture, and then next year it will move to the World's Larget Septic Tank.

Go ahead and keep thinking you are the superior program in the state. You'll find out differently come 2012. Orded shall be restored.

Go ahead and keep thinking you are the superior program in the state. You'll find out differently come 2012. Orded shall be restored.

Interestingly enough, after looking at the records, in the past 15 meetings SDSU is 12-3 against usd; however, in the 15 previous usd was 11-3-1 against SDSU. So I would say that all-time series before that was pretty close up until usd went on its big run of the late 70's-80's, and then SDSU went on its big run of the 90's and early 2000's to even things back out. Interesting data. Until the two schools went on their string of victories the series was close, and is still close to this day. Funny how usd can take a really big lead in a series that was close up to that point and just squander it back to basically even. No smack intended there, just interesting to look at.

Good thing you're joining the conference so we'll get a win every year out of that, so it should take, oh by my math, a whopping 3 years to be ahead in the series. That'll be rough. I really like the suggestion that UND join up with some of the Montana schools and get something going like NDSU, SDSU and USD have in the Dakota Territories. The Big 3 is an idea worth copying. It would be nice to see you guys doing something positive for the game.

There will always be winners and losers, its cyclical. Right now the Big 3 are a competitive bunch which is really a bonus for the fans here in Dakota.

JBB, Why are you trying to combine the schools in your "big 3"? I don't get it and I think I'm not the only one... You know that the Bison-Sioux rivalry was one of the longest running rivalries IN THE COUNTRY before we parted ways. I'm not sure how you can just ignore that. Yes they went to a different conference, but your comments on your "big 3" seem very naive...
