Talk about big time....

College students love to procrastinate, give them five days to get tickets and some will wait until day five. Then when the tickets are gone they'll bitch about there not being enough, even though they had usually two or three days to get them before they were all scooped up. Happens annually for our homecoming game and other bigger games.Grizalltheway wrote:Wednesday afternoon, and there are still student tickets left for a game like this? You boys have a long ways to go.lakesbison wrote:Student tickets almost sold out, just a few hundred left!
Craigslist has a pair row 1 $100/ticket on a.$25 ticket...dayum!!
Just trying to rile up lakes. Homecoming and Griz/cat were usually the only games where student tickets were gone the first day.FargoBison wrote:College students love to procrastinate, give them five days to get tickets and some will wait until day five. You want to piss off lakes? Back when we played UND, students camped out to get into the game, shows how big this game is.Grizalltheway wrote:Just trying to rile up lakes. Homecoming and Griz/cat were usually the only games where student tickets were gone the first day.FargoBison wrote:

That's true - I was there when the rivalry games ended, it was the only game of the year where you had to go out and fight for the tickets.FargoBison wrote:You want to piss off lakes? Back when we played UND, students camped out to get into the game, shows how big this game is.Grizalltheway wrote:

Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill. I was just saying if some one was looking for tickets to contact people they know from those towns that might not be going to the game, maybe less than 20 tickets. Major affect on attendance.clenz wrote:So....high school football, trick or treating, and hunting affect NDSU attendance?

Couldn't have anything to do with the Fargo Dump having a bigger capacity than all the other stadiums could it?BisonBacker wrote:What pisses off the other posters and they can bark all they want but NDSU beats out all MVFC schools for football attendance and we are the new guy on the block. It's also because NDSU has been outdrawing most of FCS even back when we were D-II... not sayin/just sayinpanther-state wrote:Couldn't have anything to do with the Fargo Dump having a bigger capacity than all the other stadiums could it?BisonBacker wrote:What pisses off the other posters and they can bark all they want but NDSU beats out all MVFC schools for football attendance and we are the new guy on the block. You can have your attendance, UNI does pretty well in that aspect....we also do well in the conference title dept.
Same here...sort of. Will have to settle for score updates on the Droid.catbob wrote:I really wish I could watch this game and the App/GSU game, but gotta head to Bozeman to see my Cats.
Some students are planning on camping out for this game. I know a few people who are going to. I was planning on it, but I work late Friday night and will just go around 10am on Saturday instead.FargoBison wrote:You want to piss off lakes? Yes the Fargodome does have a bigger capacity, but that doesn't mean anything unless you are selling out all your games. It seems both facilities are about the right size for their respective programs, though depending how well the Bison are doing one could make the argument that we may soon outgrow the dome. Having said that, NDSU football will be held in the Fargodome for many years to come. It would be a pretty hard sell to ask for a new facility, especially in Fargo.panther-state wrote:Couldn't have anything to do with the Fargo Dump having a bigger capacity than all the other stadiums could it?BisonBacker wrote:What pisses off the other posters and they can bark all they want but NDSU beats out all MVFC schools for football attendance and we are the new guy on the block. UNI can't even fill their little pathetic dome on a consistent basis in the first place, so no, it doesn't have much to do with the Fargodome's size. We simply have a bigger supporting fan base.panther-state wrote:Couldn't have anything to do with the Fargo Dump having a bigger capacity than all the other stadiums could it?BisonBacker wrote:What pisses off the other posters and they can bark all they want but NDSU beats out all MVFC schools for football attendance and we are the new guy on the block. Is there really anything else to do in ND? Seriously guy....UNI has Iowa and Iowa St to contend with for fans. If you don't have the FBS teams to compete against you don't understand how good UNI's #'s are. Yes, even your own Alum will become FBS homers, have their season tickets and almost deny ever having attended an FCS school. And don't use that Minnesota isn't that far away crap, it won't wash with me.X-Factor wrote:UNI can't even fill their little pathetic dome on a consistent basis in the first place, so no, it doesn't have much to do with the Fargodome's size. NDSU attendance might take somewhat of a hit if Minnesota ever got to the point where they won more than 7 games a season on a consistent basis.CatMom wrote: And don't use that Minnesota isn't that far away crap, it won't wash with me.
I don't think people understand how sparsely populated ND is. There are 650,000 in the whole state. It's roughly the same number of people that live in Austin proper but in a state that's 2x as big as Indiana. Getting 18,000 to a Bison game and 10,000 to a Sioux football game, and 12,000 to a Sioux hockey game all on the easternmost edge of the state isn't too shabby.CatMom wrote:
Personally, I would have thought NDSUs numbers would be higher.
(and don't throw numbers at me. TXST is up 17% this year and, yes, we have UT homers that we deal with so I know the drill)
